City vs Cardiff Post Match Discussion

Just watching it again we were better than I thought a little wasteful could have been 10

If we'd scored off that chance that came in the first minute it could have gotten silly I think. 3 points is all I want though.

We have become a bit spoilt of late I guess but like you say it's 3pts off a team fighting for their Prem lives with a new manager to boot, bit of a cup final for them for all they know many of those players may never get the chance to play in the Prem again after this season

I got home in time to watch most of it again and, without the stress, the performance was rather more comfortable than it felt before the third went in. They had two goal attempts inside our box and, unfortunately, they both went in. The scoreline flattered Carduff hugely: they had no one but Noone.

This seems to be a common theme. I remember in some of our games in the early part of the season, in away games at Cardiff, Villa, Sunderland; it seemed like they scored with every clear cut chance they had.

Their last goal was pretty meaningless (still annoying) but meaningless nonetheless, I think we thought the game was all sown up which to all intents and purposes we had, sometimes we will play games where not everything goes right I am OK with this fact of life

We've conceded almost a third of the goals Carduff have scored, which is just crazy.

That lad really impressed me and it reminded me of Peter Barnes in full flow 40 years ago.

Whether he has that level of performance week in week out I doubt but he sure rose to the occasion today.

I still think we should have had two penalties, and Silva and Negredo missed fantastic chances when put through.

On another day we could have had 8, but the lad Noone played a stormer on their right wing imo.

Demichellis is a weakness for me and one that is likely to be targeted by both Chelsea and Barcelona.

It is still an area we need to strengthen in the summer.
