City vs Cardiff Post Match Discussion

Thought Martin got exposed a few times today and at times he was too easily beaten too far up the pitch but way too good for Cardiff even when we had that bad spell 2nd half didn't think we were ever unduly threatened WELL DONE BOYS ......................BRING THE NEXT VICTIMS ON !

Another week another inept referee

Where do these useless gits come from? Two pens, one of which would have seen the taffs down to 10 for the entire game. Countless poor decisions, no bookings for Cardiff despite the number 18 being warned twice, the second time for hacking at David before our fourth goal. My favourite though was running across Yaya as he was shaping to shoot and then being in front of him as he was fouled but unable to see the foul as he'd ran beyond the ball!
I'd love to see the assessments, the vast majority are hopeless.

Re: Another week another inept referee

Wasn't that bad. Missed the penalty (there was only one the other shouldn't even be discussed) early doors, but I like to see refs keep his cards in his pocket. We received one harsh one but Kolarov's was a booking.

And I MUCH prefer our refs to the shit we get in the Champions League who panic like fuck at everything, fall for every single dive, run over to every situation which causes panic with the players, they book everyone in sight sometimes and the games are stop-start-stop-start-stop as they blow for free kick after free kick...they ruin the games of what is supposed to be the elite competition of this sport.

I was slightly worried to see a starting 11 not featuring Ferna - have come to think of him as the engine of the team. Turned out we did very well even without him - Pelle has really made a team out of a gang of talents. First half display was mouth-watering.

Hart - solid, nothing much to do and that's always hard for a keeper. Can't be blamed for the goals.
Kompany - was that a centerback working hard to create a goal in the oppositions penalty area near the end of the game which we already had won? Shows what Pelle's football team is all about and our captain and leader spearheads it all. Had a series of excellent long passes today. Unfortunately outplayed at one instance that led to Cardiff's first goal.
Demichelis - reads the games like no one else. Excellent player in these sort of games where his attacking mind-set helps breaking down the opponents.
Zabaleta - The hardest man in Premier league. Shows flair as well. Never a bad game.
Kolarov - How times have changed. I expect so much from this player now, that even on a good day like this I'm left wanting more.
Garcia - Every game he starts now is his best game in a City shirt. No exception today. Still our "weakest" regular player, but does his job well.
Navas - Dependable, creative and an excellent team player. Pelle has made a man of him.
Silva - What can you say? Fuck the nitwits in ballon d'or. Pick a world top 11 without Silva and you don't know shit about football.
Toure - Yaya is God, haven't you heard? Even the raggiest TV commentator here in raggy Scandinavia creams their pants when he starts from midfield. You just know it will be a goal even before he crosses the center line. MotM.
Negredo - jaded, could do with a rest.
Dzeko - excellent today. Again, Pelle works wonders and create team players. Edin enjoys himself now and will stay.
Aguero - See above (Silva). Imagine there are people who would rather have a sulky, egomaniac, once-in-a-month circus performance twatfaced Ibrahimovitch on their team ahead of Kun. Unbelievable.
Apart from each Cardiff goal you mean?
First goal outplayed by a brilliant backheel pass and the on the second the whole team had gone to sleep. Takes nothing away from Martin who again had a very good game for us.

Noone likes to run at defenders, he's quite pacy and has good games but not consistently. Played really well today, but I wouldn't get too excited.
Exactly the sort of player that defenders (all of them, not just ours) hate to play against. Puncheon caused us a bit of bother, the other week, doing much the same thing, as I recall.

I'm the happiest about Fernandinho finally getting a rest, it was much needed.
Yeh, only played half vs. Rovers, nothing today and probably none vs. WHU on Tuesday. Getting a well earned rest.
