City Vs Chelsea in the US of A

ok, I think I've got this now. You don't have to buy the package. $89.50 per seat for just the City match to sit in the City supporters section behind the goal (left field). Totally swingable.

Tix on sale in less than an hour.

You find any way to do this? Seems like you have to buy both games, which is absolutely outrageous.

I'm not paying that amount of money to see what will surely be a skeleton City side playing a skeleton Chelsea side in a meaningless game. I'd just as soon save my money for another trip to Manchester.

I'm really into this if I only have to buy one game, but I'm not interested in being extorted.

Ok, well they did force the buying of both matches online.. 428 dollars (about 280 pounds) later, I have my tix in the supporter section. A crazy price to pay but I fully plan to sell off my tix to the Ireland/Spain match for a profit, which seems to be what they are going for. might be a bit tougher as the City supporter section will be the Ireland supporter section for the June match, but there will be takers in this part of the country I'm thinking.

As far as the skeleton side thing, I'm hoping and praying that a) because this is right at the end of the season and before the players go on holliday and b) because EPL teams have learned their lesson that charging outrageous prices and then bringing over the B squad (a'la ushited a few years back) will not be stood for. I'm thinking we'll get to see a good portion of the lads. And I'm ok with seeing a bit of your Razak and D. Suarez types etc as long as some Zabba and Kompany and Sergio are mixed in. I think both sides will want to put on a show in NYC.

Either way, I'm there. Let's make a day of it blues.

This is really pissing me off. I want to take my american family (5 in total) to see my beloved City at Yankee stadium - but the 'bundle' ticket plan has me stumped. Am I supposed to pay $1,000 to take my family to watch the game, and then hope I can re-sell the Ireland/Spain second ticket?? WTF - I am very disappointed that MCFC agreed to that ticketing plan.

Ticketing for this is bullshit. And no way will any star players feature. Similar to 2010, it will be hundreds of $ to see the reserves. No thanks. Very poor, City.

On another note pregame, ingame, and post game festivities will be on at the Hatter.

I cannot believe that you have to buy tix for both games! I promised I would take my sons to the game, but the price is too much.
I blame the Yankees not City for this.

This is absolutely a Yankees issue.

so update - I just bought three tickets, for $450 - yikes. This includes the mandatory Ireland v Spain tickets on June 10th, which i aim to try and resell for about half the cost. That'd leave me paying about $75 a ticket for the City game - fingers crossed.

I'm pissed. From the way they made it out the supporters sections weren't part of the package deal and you could buy single tickets. Was really looking forward to my first City game.
