City vs Everton Post Match Thread

Had to spend most of the game with the sound turned off or down. What was the Gerard song?

Ducado already posted a vid link to it a few pages back... <a class="postlink" href="http://lockerdome.com/fbl72/6170047307587393/6585375510498836" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://lockerdome.com/fbl72/61700473075 ... 5510498836</a>

"Steeeeeve Gerrard, Gerrard,
he slipped on his fuck'in arse
he passed it to Demba Ba
steve gerrard, gerrard"

...granted we sang it around 4 different times in total, at one point much louder n' sharper than the one in that clip, thus, when both upper n' lower Bullens did it in unison we actually sounded like the urchins themselves haha funny as fuck, halftime down on concourse with the Ure's granddad chant was absolutely rockin n'all !!!

Refereeing - Probert did quite well I thought (not usually falling for dives) but what on earth was going on with Dzecko? Someone said Edin had said he didn't need the trainer, but that's not his call - especially lying there for ages. What was the yellow for? Lying there too long, or for supposedly diving?
The 6 minutes added time sounded about right, and we then wasted time, but that extra 50 seconds was almost Fergie-esque.

And Lukaku wasn't offside - the two alongside him were in an offside position but that doesn't matter these days.

It does when the Everton player nearest the cross(who was in an offside position) took the attention of a City defender. The Everton player attempted to head the ball and Joe Hart had him in mind when he positioned himself to save. If that isn't interfering with play I don't know what is.
Sorry, but that means you really don't know what "interfering with play" is!

No it means he doesn't understand what this weeks interpretation of "interfering with play is".

He is using the definition as used by those who have played and watched football for many years and understand how a player who doesn't touch the ball can still be "interfering". FIFA in their wisdom decided that most referees were too thick to understand this so changed the interpretation and have managed to confuse everyone as to what actually is offside nowadays.

Anybody read city's match report in the sun yet with the article underneath asking their columnist to vote on who is manager of the season Pulis or Rodgers unbelievable.

Just watched the highlights on Goalds on Sunday. I didn't notice it at the time due to the euphoria of the goal, but that was a tasty turn by Jimbo to set up Edin's header.

Strangest away day I've ever been to. Between the train ride and the ground got told over and over "hope you do us today" Good atmosphere in the away end helped by some in the Park End conducting us! Everton pushed us hard and showed why they are now in the Europa League they've earned that right. One slight moan has to be the way Dzeko got slated for his play acting that was the refs fault. Probert had decided yellow for the foul...but why leave him lying there over 3 minutes before allowing the physio on? Yet Naysmith got away with blatant cheating when he went down trying to claim Fernandinho elbowed him. That time Probert marched over got him up play continued.

I agree about the confusing bit.
You seem to see offside given if the player moves towards the ball when in an offside position. By that token sury Osman was offside and interfering with play.
At the end of the day, some you get some you don't but I wish we could go back to the old rules cos it was much simpler then...
