City vs Fulham; Match Thread (25th October)

It is poor tactic from MH.

He has got a golden opportunity to raise a team, paid 200m and could not even win at home against Fulham!!!!!!!

He was layws happy with a way game draw, which sent the wrong message to the players and the results is another draw at home from a rugular team.
And you know that for a fact do you? I certainly don't know that he was happy with a draw today, in exactly the same way as I don't know that he wasn't. It's a bit dangerous stating your assumption (and that is what it is) as fact.

Our last (and only) defeat was on September 20th. I make that five weeks ago. Or does that not count? Just wondering.

We have taken 3 points out of 9 against lower table teams!!!!
Don't try to sugar coat it with us only losing one game.

I'm lethargic reading this wank.

Villa are hardly a lower table team mate, they have the same goals as us so that 1 point was a good one.

Wigan under the circumstances was a good point.

Today was utter wank though and 2 points lost.

Fulham are not a lower tabel team either, typically. They're in Europe and although they had that 'mare the season before last where they nearly got relegated, they haven't actually been relegated since coming to the top flight, have they?

Excuse me? The poster to who I replied stated that we had not won in four weeks, which is true. I replied with a fact to him. But hey, let's not bother with facts. It's surreal that you are "lethargic reading this wank". I feel exactly the same way when people go over the top criticizing the side on here. Isn't that a strange coincidence?

Lower then what I thought we would achieve, we are burning out fast, we really needed a win.
I'm not going to dare buy a paper tommorow (us being Irish you know why anyway) I will not be able to stand the "money doesn't buy anything" by the biast gimps that write the Irish papers.

It'll be a lot worse if we don't win next week mate, a lot, lot, lot worse.

Hughes has no clue. His plan is useless. City is getting worse every week. Selling Elano is a big mistake. Elano could have made difference with a game like this.

first class joey deakin

I take your point mate and I think Fulham are a hard team to play against but the fact is we were 2-0 up at home, any team hoping to achieve anything has to have the balls to hold on to such leads.

They're better then Brighton.
Happy days.

No excuses that performance was not good enough today. Defensively we were a shambles, Richards is constantly out of position. He cant tackle or head the ball. Toure and Lescott lost 4 out of 5 headers they went for. Really the only good thing about the defence is Given Lescott has not had a decent game for us since we signed him.

Going forward we made loads of chances, Petrov was brilliant again Tevez works hard without producing much Adebayor had an off day. Bellamy worked hard but not as good on the right. There was nothing wrong with the disallowed goal and we could also have had a penalty in the first half .

Nevermind about top 4 if we want to finish top 6 this season we have to be beating sides like Fulham at home with a 2 goal lead. In the end we could have lost that 3 - 2 as Fulham missed an open net 2 yards out.

People might not want to hear it but that just was not good enough today we have to win these games against mid table teams especially at home.

No i don't know that for a fact, but based on his statements after a way games and based on tonight poor performance i can make such assumption.

When the owner gave him all his support to build a strong team, he should have done better, it is not fair to spend 200m and to end up with a draw against a team like Fulham with all respect.

Werent you just moaning about the media in Ireland saying the exact same thing? We should have won because we have money. What a bullshit logic, imo.

What people on here dont seem to understand is Money doesn not = automatic success. Regardless of who lines up for us theres 11 professionals who are pretty adapt at thier trade too, on the other side.

So we didnt play well today, we didn't need to in all honesty. Our CB pairing is letting us down right now, but they're learning on the job and when they make a mistake we pay for it.
