Nice win. We seemed to have more urgency in the final third, rather than trying to perfectly walk the ball into the net. And, as Johnson demonstrated with the use of his willing assistant, Baird, if you get the ball into the box, anything can happen.

If that tackle on Silva had been anywhere else on the pitch, I assume we'd have been given a free kick. Shame it wasn't given as a penalty, but three points securely in the bag and move on.

Good game to boost Savic's confidence. Thought he did well, although the media will always hereafter refer to him as 'error-prone'. The rest of the team seem happy for him to have the ball - always a good sign.

Mario and Silva need to have a best-of-three face-off to find out who's the best magician. :-)

Edit: There was a definite wiggle to the snow-cleared centre line. Hope the groundsman concerned hasn't been nipping at the whisky!

We keep bouncing back after setbacks, lost at Sunderland then thump Liverpool at home, lose to Everton then hump Fulham at home.

i think thats the italian mentality for you, tend to be restrained when out front, unleashed when threatened tbh

We were comfortable tonight. Fulham didn't really test us at the back. Going forward I thought we looked much more balanced with Silva playing from the left, and Nasri playing from deep midfield. It gave both players more room to effect the play without getting in each other's way. Aguero was brilliant and is worth two players, which is a good thing as Dzeko is still a passenger for the most part.... ;)

Really happy. Massive three points and I think Chelsea are going to do us a favour tomorrow.

Out of interest mate, what did you think of Johnson's and Kolarov's performances?

Both a comfortable 7/10. AJ gave Baird a bit of a pasting and his all round play seemed sharper than when he's come on as sub recently. Kolarov was solid at the back and threatening going forward.

It's hard to criticise anyone after the recent run of form. We were worthy winners tonight and it'll do the whole camp the world of good.

I would be purging all users with post history's that show they only post to slag us of.

AJ will always be one of those players who drifts in and out of games. His ability to score a goal out of nothing often keeps him on the pitch longer than he otherwise would be.

Just got home, great performance! Also, considering how one-sided it was, pretty good atmosphere.

Can understand why many chose not to show up there, diabolically freezing, and I was at the front.
