City Vs Leicester Pre Match Thread

read the back 4 and got slightly optimistic, then read the rest of the lineup and let out a sigh. Fernandinho better be injured to miss out completely. 4-4-2 should work against this type of opponent but we should be playing 4-5-1 to get some kind of rhythm going. He literally sets the formation to suit whoever he deems next in line for a game with his ridiculous rotation policy.

I don't even care any more that our chances of winning the league are slim.

Just want to see these guys beat the shite out of Leicester today and give us an amazing performance from now until the end of season.

This looks like the lineup:
Hart

Sagna Demichelis Mangala Kolarov

Navas Fernando Y Touré Silva

Bony Agüero

mangala (through no fault of his own) could get seriously exposed as Kolorov offers very little defensively and neither does silva

anything other than a dominant performance will see MP rightfully questioned again about his tactical approach and set up.

Would rather have Lampard/Ferna instead of Fernando. Just to have a bit more of a creative influence on the game in midfield. Yaya should control it but Fernando doesn't offer anything in this sort of a game. Strange that Ferna and Nasri aren't even on the bench though. We have 3 defenders on the bench for Leicester at home though. Plus the keeper. That baffles me.

Why are Dinho Nasri and Jovetic out ???
Do you think Bony will contribute more than Jovetic ?

Jovetics been out for the past 4-5 games. I don't think anyone can contribute less than him. He plays a different game, the other 10 a different game. I don't blame him however, he just doenst suit everyone around him.

Ι m in the other side...i think that Bonys transfer is uselless ...we needed a midfielder or a side attacker not another striker

Don't mind two upfront against Leicester. Good chance to see Kun and Bony work together. See how it goes and if they get on top make a change.

Where is nasri?

I am guessing we want more pace and crossing upfront with Bony there as well. Nasri would have been a good sub however but I guess its Milner, Lampard and Dzeko if we are down/drawing.

Have the feeling that Nasri is being rest/has a knock. He worked hard after returning and then seems to have faded in the last few games.

Well Bony's been here less than a month and is about to start his first game so yes, he's on pace to contribute more than Jovetic.

For goodness sake, can we not just settle on a back four? Granted Vinnie's been poor but how can we get rhythm with all this chopping and changing?

He finally grew the balls to drop under performers no matter their name. Good on him.

I wasn't feeling too confident about tonight, but after seeing the team. I am now.

From the BBC Sport website, bigging up Moaninho:

If his Chelsea side beat West Ham tonight and Manchester City slip up at home to Leicester, the Blues will be eight points clear with a game in hand and more than two thirds of the Premier League race run.

So far this season, whenever the press predict Chelsea will open up a big lead over us, it has backfired on them spectacularly. I am, therefore, confident that we will hammer Leicester and the Hammers will hammer Chelsea!

Where is Clichy?

Also why does he continue to leave Jovetic out. Jovetic offers alot more then Lampard offers.

I'm going to come back and quote this at full time.

Why's Fernando playing then?

looks to me like we are rotating the squad after playing weekend, midweek, weekend and then midweek again. on paper this should be the easiest game of the season but at the same time have to take it seriously so have kept some important players in
