3-0 win no problem!

I think yer might be right about 3-0, but 'no problems'? First off, who's got the fuckin' whistle? Is it Lee Rip Me Pocket Off Whilst I Get The Red Card Out For A Sky Blue Shirt Mason, or is it the perennial wanker Taylor? 'Sgonna be someone who tries to shaft us. When did we last have FatPhil? He'll be due for another gig at The Etihad, surely!

Some individuals on this thread have me reaching for the bucket so explicit are their hypocritical posts.

The general theme of the accusations posed at the team are that they have no backbone, cannot be bothered, and have thrown in the towel.

Ironically, the general theme on this thread is of 'fans' who have thrown in the towel, cannot be bothered, and spit their dummy out the instance a result does not go our way.

The short-termism of so much of what is posted on here is depressing.

Bluemoon affords you the opportunity to vent your opinion - you are entitled to it.

I'm just glad that I do not manage a squad of players who have your pessimism and defeatist attitude. I recall reading the same notices in Feb/March of 2014 and 2012. Funny how things turn out, eh?

100% spot on

it was a poor poor second half performance not matter how many sugar coats we give it, yes we have previous for making comebacks but that does not necessarily follow we will do it again and it certainly does not preclude us fans calling out a piss poor performance.
we can't put our head in the sand, there are issues that will need to be addressed
as said before attitude and effort sadly lacking in that second half yesterday

I agree with your comments as they are considered and reasonable. It is the impulsive, self-pitying diatribe that has filled the majority of this thread that I take issue with.

If all the despondent posters actually threw out the baby with the bathwater (as many appear to be suggesting) there would be a litany of wailing infants deposited across the streets of Manchester!

Two disappointing results in one week. Yes - some key players are in inconsistent form. All we can do now is what we did before - attempt to win all our games and see how Chelsea's nerve holds up.

My biggest concern is that it has been some time since we last purchased a truly world-class player. However, the last time we did do this, with any certainty, was Yaya. Silva and Aguero were highly recommended but have become world class with us (and Spain and Argentina respectively).

I posted this in another thread but thought it might be good to discuss in here

I was having a think about this yesterday and the whole 'if we play Bony/dzeko then we have to play 4-4-2' lark.

No true, I believe if Pelle wants to play either Bony or Dzeko with Aguero, he should be doing the following:

----------Bony/Dzeko----------
Aguero-------------------Silva
----Yaya---Milner---Dinho--

As a 4-3-3, Aguero is more than capable of playing in this role ala Messi, Neymar and Suarez for Barcelona. I know people think this may nullify Sergio's goal but it will mean he practically has a free role and cutting in from the left on his right foot is perfect.

For me the team I have put above is what he should play at barca away and the one we have the best chance with. At home he can then go with 4-4-2 if wanted or in Europe at home, go with 4-2-3-1, like this:

----------Bony/Dzeko----------
Silva------Aguero--------Nasri
-------Yaya-------Dinho-----------

This makes us much more compact in the midfield and helps us keep the ball better, something we have struggled with of late, or If Barca/Real/Bayern are in town we go:

----------Aguero----------
Milner----Silva-----Nasri
------Yaya------Dinho-----

Extra man in midfield will bring even more stability but also means we have enough to hit them on the break.

These 3 formations/systems give us the best stability and also should be the basis for moving forward. Buy players to play this formation/system and we will start going places again. This gives us Plan A, B and C. even a Plan D if he really wants to go 4-4-2.

This is in no way a 'Football Manager' type post either, this is reality

This has another Burnley written all over it.

I'm expecting Pellegrini to make plenty of changes and ignore the fact they play 5 in midfield.

So the lineup I think will start is

Hart
Sagna (starting after not being in the 18)
Kompany (because he's untouchable)
Demichelis
Clichy
Fernando (because Pellers is fucking stupid)
Yaya
Navas (see Sagna)
Silva
Aguero
Dzeko

Result 2-2

Fernando(LOL)

Fernando has made a few predicted line ups bizarrely.

Leicester City is the worst team of PL and 100% guaranteed relegated on the 20th position on the table.

We beat them but all of our rivals do the same.

LCFC fan here, in peace.

I don't think we are the worst team in the PL, which is why we're only four points off safety. We played very well last time out against Everton, and should have had the three points, and after the previous match (Arsenal beat us 2-1) both Wenger and Theo Walcott said they couldn't believe we were bottom. The table doesn't lie, of course, and it's going to be a struggle for us to stay up - but you could say the same for any of the bottom six or seven sides. And we have slightly the easier run-in, although we still have to play Chelski and Spurs, as well as you guys.

I think Man City will win on Wednesday, but I also think LCFC won't just be there to make up the numbers.

This combined with the fact we have one of the oldest squads in the premiership and two players still considered walk up starts if fit and in our best eleven namely VK and PZ have been at the club the longest of any outfield palyers and despite what many believe history will show that their best for the club both domestically and especially in Europe is well behind them.

We do better in games results wise in Europe without YAYA in the side and at 32 although still a valuable member of the team we need to be looking for a long term replacement for his drive and his set play shot selection.

In short notwithstanding the fact that Txiki has struggled so far to improve the depth , talent and mindset of the first eleven with players that give us a better edge in Europe especially we need to replace the likes of Dzeko , Jovetic, Kolorov, MDM, Boyata, Sinclair, Sagna, Richards and a couple of bigger name players of the past sooner rather than later.

Is MP worth another year as well.

Perhaps the players resolve to a very disappointing week and how they play against a side already destined for the drop which even in the run in 2012/2013 when it was obvious RM was on his last legs we had easy wins against at home will tell us more than the poor performances against Barca and Liverpool did.

In the past this side would breeze past the Leicester's at home at this time of the season.

I think your bang on the money pal I've posted this on many a diffrent thread! For me there's 2 ways to go

Fernando
diniho yaya

silva bony aguero

or
Yaya
diniho silva

navas sergio nasri

There are some great points being made in this thread.
Let hope we put the loss to Victimpool behind us and get a solid win with a clean sheet too.
Hopefully Leicester will come at us which should give the opportunity for JN and JM to put in a shift. Please do not play Kolarov. He looks like he couldn't give a shit since he got his new contract.

will be the lowest crowd in a good few years, the upper tier of the away section is now available with lots left, and the third tiers have loads left, 46 quid for Leicester city in the week, disgraceful pricing.
