I think it would be a mistake going 4-4-2 against barca. Need to make sure the Ferns are tight at the back and we don't leave any space in the middle for neymar and messi

We are playing Newcastle
Was in reply to the previous post about playing both Bony and Aguero against Barca:

I wonder if Aguero and Bony hit the ground running and we put 5 or more past Newcastle whether Pellers would be tempted to start them both against Barca.

If Aguero and Bony did start together then Aguero would be pushed back into a 3 behind Bony. So would be a 4-2-3-1 system.

I would like us to have a 4-1-4-1 system against Newcastle.

Bony

I think Pellegrini will already know his starting 11 vs Newcastle, Barca and probably Liverpool within the rotation of the squad.
I gather he will start slowing down on the rotation for the last part of the season. Let's start playing a team as strong as possible vs Newcastle, 4-4-2 as were are at home, and aiming for 3 points to try and backtrack Chelsea. And bring the Etihad-fortress back in the mind of our opponents.

Bony to be introduced during the game (hopefully when we are leading comfortably, but we all know the odds on that one).
Kompany and Mangala to start and hopefully Pellegrini lets them play for a string of games to try and build an understanding between these two.
Rest Milner and let him play Barcelona in his free role upfront like at Stoke in a 4-4-1-1.
Yaya to start as he seems eager to show his teammates he feels bad about his suspension in the CL.
The rest will pick itself.

Pellegrini will start with his strongest 11 and get the result done as soon as and then start bringing players off.

Mangala
Clichy
Fernandhino
Yaya
Silva
Nasri
Aguero
Bony

Hopefully we can then bring off Aguero, Silva and Bony to give them time before Barca.

Dzeko, Jovetic and Milner to replace.

It's very difficult to call because i know the gaffer will rotate. If I had to guess I reckon this will be the team on Saturday.
