They seem confident.

Is it just me, or did anyone else have absolutely no idea the game was 5.30 on Saturday?

I'm not sure how, but I was convinced it was 3pm and i'm here in a state of amazement that it's 5.30.

Anyone else equally surprised or am I, inevitably, just rather idiotic.

Keeping our eyes off Barca is one of the key initiatives Pelly should be instilling into the players. This game will not win itself we need to be wary of complacency.
1-2 to City with no injuries, fingers crossed.

I laughed at this one: "We will get raped, slowly, and painfully, with a late finish from a big black man"

Constantly struck, over and over again, by what a cautious bunch we are, by and large, on the pre-match threads, when you go and look at what's being said on the opposing ones. Mind you, after Boro and Hull I'm being cautious about everything, now.

In the middle of our Champions League group this message board was awash with blues saying that they weren't interested in the Champions League, and now we have fans saying that they think we should play a weakened team against Newcastle

We don't have the luxury of playing a weakened team. We need to play our strongest team. Win it, and then in an ideal situation we can take a couple of players off. Be good for confidence to win 2 games back to back and banish the run of bad form.

Barcelona play on the Saturday as well, and they have to travel so City have to concentrate fully on this game first. For the moment, nothing else matters.

Spot on.

Yep. If Chelsea doesn't have to rotate why do we. Bony and Aguero have to start. This is why we bought him in January...to partner with Aguero and rip teams to shreds in the first half letting us coast the second half.
