I expect Pellegrini will trust the senior players to get the job done. Perhaps have a couple of juniors on the bench to get a taste of the action later on, or as a Plan B if we dont make the breakthrough.

I thought Pozo did well and played very intelligently. But its asking an awful lot of a young player to come in and play as a single striker.

Whilst I agree to a certain extent, I also think where is the hope for our young forwards when they cannot even get a chance when all of our senior forwards are out injured.

With all due respect to Palace we should be able to beat them even if we have all of our strikers out, especially at home as well.

Pozo is an attacking midfielder for me and doesn't suit playing as a lone striker, that for me is the reason why Pellegrini has Thierry Ambrose and Jordi Hiwula training with the seniors this week, he also has Brandon Barker in training, although for me he is a natural wide-man.

I think if we had one of Ambrose or Hiwula up front it would look a lot more natural up front, for me Ambrose gets the nod.

Just my ha'porth, for what it's worth. Don't see Yaya up front. He's a great player, but there's no way he's a front running striker. He's at his most dangerous when he's coming through from about half way into the opposition half. That's when he scores, or angles those balls through to Sergio, Dzeko or whoever. Or in this case, Pozo/Nasri/Navas (take your pick…)
Samir is nimble footed enough to be up front, although it's not his natural position (whose is it, of those we've got left?) Navas is quick — he's out of form, this might just be the chance to boost his confidence. David Silva has been played as a front runner for Spain, and in my opinion he looks bizarre in that role. Pozo came within a whisker of scoring against Everton. But up there on his own?
Overall, the most important thing to notice is that we've got people all over the park who simply love to score. Only Joe and Mangala — so far — have not scored for us in our standard line-up. MDM, Clichy and Zab have all scored, this very season. Goals can come from anywhere with this team. We'll score on Saturday, one way or another.

Jovetic just put a video up on Instagram of his doing kick ups in the gym with an American football

Looked to be moving OK to me, outside chance for Saturday?

Well even if he isn't available for Saturday he looked like he was moving well enough to be fit for Boxing Day or perhaps the 28th

I agree with various opinions that :

* This is Palace at home and we can expect to beat them whether we play with no strikers or utilising our youth
* That if we are true to our beliefs then there is no excuse but to utilise the youngsters
* It would send the right message to kids that given the circumstances the management trust and have faith in the youth
* It would be great for Pozo or Ambrose to get a game or two and get on the scoresheet, it could be fantastic for City

Regardless of who plays I think we will win and win well.

City 3-0

This is the game that Mangala will score from a corner. - LoL - not at our end!.
I see a 2-1 to City.
