I get the feeling with Ambrose's exclusion from last nights youth cup squad he will be part of the first team squad come Saturday.

In fact, I can see at least two youth players making the squad on Saturday.
Seems likely but likely to be on the bench at best?

Would be a very difficult debut for any forward as they'll be next to no space in behind the Palace defence.

Playing 6 or 5 in midfield with overlapping full backs and Navas pulling the ball back for oncoming midfielders should work.

We should have 75% possession in this game. I hope Silva is 100%. He's not had many games

I hope there's no slip up tomorrow as I have a sneaky feeling Stoke will get something out of the Chelsea game on Monday night. Stoke's never an easy place to go and Monday night in December is as bad a time as any to have to go there. On the back of that, Stoke have been on a shocking run, but just beaten Arsenal and gone and got a point at Palace, so they will be quite buoyed up and really up for it.

If we win on Saturday, it's conceivable we might be level on points with Chelsea by Tuesday. And in my wildest dreams, we win 4-0 and Chelsea lose 2-1 and we go top over Chistmas!

The striker issues have made this game more intriguing than it generally would be. For me, if we dominate the possession like we know we can, we should have no problem creating a few chances for Pozo/Ambrose or whoever plays upfront.

Palace aren't in great form and neither are their strikers, I think Campbell and Chamakh have only got 4 Premier League goals between them in 13 appearances each. Bolasie & Zaha (if fit) will have to be watched carefully but other than that I don't see them being a huge threat.

Frazier Campbell did get two against us though last season for Cardiff but, that was at Cardiff and was one of their early Premier League games against one of the big boys so their tails would have been up for that match.

If your interested in the match from a betting perspective you might find my blog of interest. I've produced a level stakes profit so far with my blogs on City's Premier League matches so fingers crossed that continues.

You can read it here <a class="postlink" href="http://www.olbg.com/blogs/post.php?id=408312" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.olbg.com/blogs/post.php?id=408312</a>

That's an interesting read. I'm wholly ignorant about betting matters but agree with your analysis about the teams. My only fear is that Palace score first, as we never looked like scoring twice against Everton and Leicester. Having watched three of the last five Palace matches, I'm surprised so many people think we'll brush them aside.

Cheers for reading it blue. Really hope Palace don't score at all, never mind first. If they do, it basically blows away any potential profit from my suggested bets for the match.

I think we've looked decent at the back in recent weeks and Joe Hart is in top form. Demichelis has become a very reliable centre back too. With the form of Palace's strikers, I reckon that a clean sheet is quite likely but you never know.

Just hope we get the job done. No pisssing about.I'd take another 1-0.

I'd play navas, lamps and milner up front for this. think pozo should be brought on if we're in a comfortable position for a run around. just not convinced that he should start.

No game is an easy one, especially with no recognised striker being fit too play. Think we'll edge it 1-0

Jovetic definitely out. That's a blow, thought he might have an outside chance of playing.

Vinnie out, but sounds like he will be back sooner than expected, hopefully not rushing him though!

Jovetic, Aguero & Dzeko all out as expected.

MP said he thinks Milner will stay and sign up new deal & news of Hart's new deal in next couple of days.

Fancy us tomorrow, intrigued to see the lineup tbh.
