No one "made it easy" for themselves. No one qualified until the fifth match.

True enough. But Madrid effectively needed two points from two games, as did Dortmund. And they both had to play Ajax once and us once. We needed six from two with the hope of other results going our way. I'd consider that the better teams in the group making easier for themselves. The point BM made was fair enough.

Not being good enough warrants a bit of a reflection, otherwise we can all join hands, sing Kumbaya, and shut the forum down.
I absolutely agree. What is needed is reflection and strengthening in January and the summer.

Outstanding!

Brilliant display by the players and everyone gave 100% I'm really proud of the team today and we showed we're no pushovers!

Good post....me too fella.

Real danger we finish this group without a win.

Not only City fans but probably Real/Ajax/Dortmund fans would never expect this after the draw.
They were expecting a tough opponent with some very dangerous players.

3 draws and 2 losses so far and sitting on 4th place which is very we will finish possible. (Even with a draw vs Dortmund.)

The change in formation made all the difference, if only we could play with the same tempo throughout the match!
Otherwise most of the side played well, Edin's first touch still seems to let him down, and YaYa just seems off the pace,
some of his passing and control was poor, just seems in a bit of a slump at the moment.

Spot on mate.

It's hard to tell because Real were on the back foot when he came on. He misplaced a few passes.

People may disagree with me, but go all out for the Europa, win in Dortmund and hope Real twat Ajax. It's a trophy at the end of the day.
Very true. We need the experience of fighting on many fronts.
Afterall a win in Dortmund can't do anything less than improve our fortitude.
