I just don't understand why we always get hard groups for Champs League and not easier one's like Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal. And for god sake we won the premier league and does that not give us a break from the European Powers houses every single year Real Madrid and Bayern Munich(Always). And then we always have Sub-European Powerhouses like Borrusia Dortmund, Ajax, Roma, and Napoli. But our other English counterparts get 1 above average team and a cupcake team. Give us a break Palatini and your corrupt organization with your terrible refs. The pot seeding for Champions League is a BS formula of what he wants to watch and is good for tv ratings. We win the Premier League or qualify champions league and get 2 European Powerhouses everytime. While the other english teams watch us wallow for 2nd place and they easily go through if Arsenal make regular apperances in the round of 16. I dislike UFEA.
Chelesa Group Liverpool's Group: Ludogerets, Basel, Real Madrid Arsenal Group: Anderlecht,Gala, Dortmund
Schalke
Sporting Lisbon(sold their top players like dier and rojo)
NK Maribor

What on earth is a cupcake team? Would teams like Villareal or Viktoria Plzen count as a cupcake team?

And who the fuck is this Palatini bloke whose trying to fiddle the competition? We've had enough already with the French bloke picking on us without this.

I am saying teams like NK Maribor ,Ludogerets, Basel, Anderlecht, and Gala(after Mancini left). Whereas in our group their are no cupcake teams we get no cupcake teams what so ever yet every year the other enlgish teams get 2 per group. Begin to dislike the competion because of the biased standards of it.

PSG beat Barc. yesterday and we couldn't beat Roma and now we are making excuses for the players to believe we'r in a difficult group or have been cheated by Uefa, Please.

This group is not over yet and will probably go down to the last game at roma we have to win our next 2 games or we won't have a chance! Manager made a mistake not starting jimmy last night and was let down by yaya meaning we was effectively playing with 10 men roma hardly got a kick 2nd half even though we rode are luck first half I thought we just deserved victory! I'm not buying into we're not good enough in europe and the manager isn't he's had a good success in it with lesser teams and last season we got 15 points in the group stages winning all 3 away and then gave barca a good game home and away come on blues a point isn't the end time to stop crying!

I was there last night and would say the following:

1. Roma are a very good side. Easily as good as anything we face in our domestic top 4. They are particularly good in the defensive phase.

2. The 2 man central midfield was it pains me to say a pathetic choice of strategy. MP usually learns from past mistakes but hasn't with this. At that level you can not allow the opposition to outnumber you in midfield. Doesn't matter who you are or whether you're at home. You just can't. This is exacerbated further when 1 of your 2 is yaya who clearly has zero defensive understanding.

3. The 'head' still isn't right. Going 1-0 up at home in this competition is something that any decent collective mindset should be holding on to.

4. Our set pieces, corners and throw ins are extremely pathetic. On occasion they are that bad that we actually hand the advantage to the opposition.

I still think we can get out if the group though. If we take 6 from cska we will be in a much better position because Roma and bayern will take points off each other.

The CSKA matches could end up being looked upon as a false position because I expect Bayern and Roma to take at least 4 points of them as well.

Drawing to Roma last night has forced us to beat CSKA home and away and to take 4 points of Bayern and Roma in my opinion.

can't agree with being out numbered in the middle if players put a shift in its fine chelsea out numbered us but didn't get a kick and there better than roma should have played jimmy though!

Good post, we can beat Roma away, but we need to be cuter than we were last night.

I think we're out after that performance the biggest game in our group and nobody turned up including the manager. I know we usually do things the hard way, but we really let ourselves down and looked scared at times of playing our way. I came away from the game feeling let down by the players and manager clueless. credit to roma they played well.

Having calmed down after last night. I do believe that we can still qualify, win all our matches and we will end up with 13 points. It can be done.

some city fans in this forum are turning into a rawk kopites types

Talking about conspiracy, confusedabout everything people don't turn up to watch the team ahh cause its expensive ah because of cl ffp oh. We don't wsnt tourists.....
