Wednesday fan in peace here.

Can't quite believe we've drawn you's again. Our luck is shocking!

In any case, I am hoping against hope that we give your lot a better game on Sunday. Anything less than 7-0 is progress, right?

We're going into this game after back to back wins. However we've lost, arguably, our two best players in Royston Drenthe and Lewis McGugan who have returned to their parent clubs. Our left back, Joe Mattock, is also out with a groin injury. However your ex player, Helan, is in terrific form and will fill in at left back.

I'm hoping that our manager takes this game seriously this time. You beat us 7-0 but that wasn't anywhere close to our strongest eleven. Our keeper has been our star player of the season. If he plays I'm confident that you won't get close to seven goals again.....

I'm looking forward to coming to the Etihad again. It was certainly an experience last time. Though I'm sat further back so hopefully won't have those pesky advertising boards flashing in my face every two minutes.

Best of luck for the season (after Sunday of course)
Don't plaster my seat with Stevie May stickers again!

By the way if you are at the back of the top tier, bring a coat. The temporary roof leaks (a lot!)

I am looking forward to the game. With Wednesday stuck in midtable, I can see you really going for this, and I hope City are not complacent. I would like Silva to play. He is on a different level to most other players, but we rested him last time we played you, or he was injured. Whatever the reason, I know he wasn't playing last time.

Enjoy the day. If you ask most City fans what their favourite away ground is, a lot will say Hillsboro. I associate Hillsboro as the start of City's good times. It was Ali Benarbia's away debut, and I remember sitting in the away end and watching us stick 6 past you. And from then on we have had 2 bad seasons and loads of great seasons. Could not have dreamed that one day we'd be playing you in the FA Cup as defending League Champions!!
I'm right at the back of the bottom tier, behind the net.
Thanks for the compliments about Hillsborough. I liked the Eithad a lot. Though the flashing advertising boards got on my nerves and the amount of leg room available is SO big that I got complacent with it and ended up with massive bruises on my legs from constantly banging them against the seat in front. Perhaps that was the drink though....and the bouncing...a lot of bouncing.

You shouldn't underestimate us at all. I mean, you SHOULD beat us. But last time out we played six players who aren't considered first choice....and one of them got sent off at 3-0. We made a mistake playing Kirkland in net last time & Keiran Westwood deserves to pit his wits against your forwards this time. He's a Premier League quality keeper, no doubt. Wasn't he linked to you in the summer?

We struggle with goals, we've only scored 18 all season. But we've got the 2nd best defence in the league...that's why we're 10th.

Like I said though. Anything less than 7-0 is progression in our eyes haha.

I don't want us to risk our star players in this but at the same time I think it's very important that we take it seriously! It's a competition we could easily win, I can't see us getting past barca in CL and I still think Chelsea will be too strong for us in the league.

Willy

Sagna, Demichellis, Boyata, Kolarov.

Fernando, Toure.

Sinclair, Lampard, Jovetic.

Pozo

Also, anyone saying we shouldn't play Sinclair because it will make him cup tied - that would be for any potential buyer to worry about, not us. It's not like we need the £1m we'd get for him anyway.

I'd have Nasri, Silva, Fernandihno, Milner, Clichy, Zaba & Hart on the bench in case anything goes wrong, but that should be enough to see us through.

Willy

sagna
boyata
mangala
kolarov

fernando
yaya

Does anyone know who the ref is?
Twattenburg? Didn't ref today's fixtures

There's long odds on it being Roger the Todger! And for those unfamiliar with this ref, it's the tosser we had on yesterday!

Players we should rest on Sunday: Zabaleta, Navas, Fernandinho, Silva

Bacary - Micho - Mango - Aleks

Fernando

Milner - Frank - Yaya - Nasri

Pozo

I m a City fan coz of Oasis. If i was now a teenager i can see me be a Wed fan coz of the Arctic Monkeys.

Willy, Sagna, Boyata, Demi, Kolarov, Fernando, Yaya, Lampard, Sinclair, Pozo, Jovetic

4-1-2-3 (Sinclair & Jovetic on the wings Pozo central)

I would go with this & get Hiwula on at some point for Jovetic then put Hiwula central & Pozo out wide.

Is Hiwula cup tied from Yeovil? If so Ambrose instead

I want us to play two young lads in this game, maybe not both starting but at least rotating and having a half each.

I really do think it's wise to rest a few key players in this game with us having had a tough December with little rotation because of injuries, I wouldn't go over the top though.
