Mario did nothing wrong. Yes he was trying to keep his balance and at the same time he was ahead of the game play. Whilst coming out of the challenge he anticipated an attacking opportunity and adjusted his alignment and body posture to head towards the ball/danger area, strikers instinct.
Doesnt matter the witch-hunt starts now, expect a lengthy ban.

Complete nonsense.

Not really, surely you have seen strange FA decisions

Did Rooney get a retrospective ban for this?

That doesn't count.
1, It's the blue eyed boy of English football.
2, It's the scum who are immune to such charges.
3, Mario is the Son of Satan
3, The FA are corrupt

Notice who the ref was.....

MUFC player of the year Chris Foy!

This witch hunt on Balotelli is ridiculous. He's falling and trying to find the ground. The amount of information he'd need to process to choose to stomp on Parker there (who probably would have deserved it, btw, with the way he was fouling today) is absolutely asounding. He's falling, trying to stay on his feet, spinning, and looking away...and he's also simultaneously deciding to blind stomp on the other player? It's just media driven controversy and it's despicable in this instance.

I really don't think Lescott's elbow is intentional, either. Again, you've got players in motion not even looking at each other and you're deciding he's choosing to make a subtle play at an opponent in a blind manner. It's just too much to assume intent at that point.

I don't think i've ever been so angry after a victory. Savic shouldn't even be playing due to an awful decision against Kompany. It almost cost us 2 cups and a league game in the space of 2 weeks. We're obviously in dire need of a competent CB, as tottenham just wrote the book on how to steal a goal or two from us by throwing long balls at Savic and waiting for him to screw them up. A complete nightmare from him today.

Dzeko also was complete shit today, he had the kind of game people have been accusing him (wrongly) of having all season. Completely wasteful in possession, the best thing you can say about him is that he kept showing, but he couldn't pull off anything today.

spot on with your comments on the media, balo and lescott

once again the main focus is on something other than a fantastic result. we won in dramatic fashion yet all focus is on a possible ban.

Well played from the team today. Thought Clichy had a cracker considering he got booked for a stupid few seconds in the first half, thought they would have stuck Lennon/Bale on him to try to get him off.

Barry was as good as ever, beginning to see now just how important to our team he now is. Nasri had a very good game with a quality finish for the first.

The only slight letdowns were Savic (at fault for the first, nearly gave them the winner and looked nervous on the ball) but hopefully he'l improve as he's still only young. Dzeko was ok, he got an assist for the 2nd and was fairly good.. just let himself down with his shooting (and got in the way of an Aguero shot again!).

Deserved the win. For the media to say Spurs play the best football in the league is a joke, it's Blackburn under Big Sam football, kick and run to the big man. As Ade wasn't able to play it was up 'n' over to get Defoe in, it worked once due to a Savic error.. but was extremely negative to watch them pass it back to Friedel time after time or hoof it downfield.... but there was no mention of that from the "pundits".

Barry was great, I don't know about Milner. It's like they played Barry more forward and left Milner behind to protect the back 4. I'm not sure Milner's at his best in that role. He wasn't bad, but I'm not sure he was great either. We are clearly missing Yaya quite a bit, our midfield was at times a bit overrun. Nasri played one of his best games, although really it was after the goal that he came into it. Hopefully he's more of a confidence player and he can build off of it, because after the goal he really was controlling the game.

Are you for real?

I am, and it's just my opinion. With enough Blues lauding him today I'm willing to admit I could be wrong on this... I guess I would say I just didn't notice him that much, but really, it could be on me, I'd defer on this one for sure.

Hmmm, seen 2 Fox Soccer Channel highlights and neither mentioned "the stamp". Wonder why.

And yes, back to the actual play. So HAPPY for Nasri. That goal and the way he played afterwards (with confidence) should shut up his detractors...until the next game.

And was Silva named MOTM?
Sky named Milner MOTM

Ah, thanks. Thought I heard Silva's name over the Etihad speakers.

This and an Arsenal draw or win will make this an even more beautiful day!
