Clueless isn't called Clueless for nothing.

For a laugh, we should play some daft formation like 3-7-0 or 3-2-5 and watch his head explode as he sits there clueless as to what to do. We'd probably win 26 nil :-)

It seems funny to be playing at 3pm on a Saturday - very 'retro'.

Maybe I will try and get to Match of the Day without finding out the score like I did when I was a kid!

3-0 to City

This is a tough game. We have never won easily against Stoke. I would drop yaya for this one in favour of James Milner.

Starting early for the weekend hey ? make sure you have a designated driver!

more likely oxygen starvation, posted from the top of a mountain :)

The team selection is going to interesting given the upcoming international break (speaking of which I find that annoying in the extreme).

Quite a few players are committed to playing during that period, but players like Nasri and Navas are not, so it might be a good chance to give Jesus a start. It might also be the right time for Sagna to start given we have our horror stretch coming up straight after the break and we are going to need Zab firing at peak capacity for the Arsenal/Bayern/Chelsea stretch.

It's a shame that Mangala is not going to be ready for todays game as I can't imagine Pellers playing him first up during the horror stretch. So we may not see him until after that period.

When we look at our very slow start last season, to start with 3 wins out of 3 would be great. Let's hope the crowd really gets behind the boys tonight because we struggled against them at home last season.

I expect Mangala's first game will be Sheff Wed.

Zab's suspended for Bayern so Sagna needs to play to be ready. Cant see MP giving him his debut at the Emirates and then expecting him to play again in midweek. Just seems obvious for them to rotate with Sagna starting today.

MP said Negredo is the only injury so I think Dzeko will start, Aguero playing the second half. Fernandhino to get at least 45 mins.

Don't think we've hit our stride yet, but with so many good players available, I'd like to see us play with real intensity for the full ninety minutes.

Good point. Having read that Sagna should start

Hart (Caballero)
Zabaleta (Sagna) - Kompany - Demichelis - Kolarov (Clichy)
Yaya - Fernando (Fernandinho)
Silva (Navas) - Jovetic - Milner (Nasri)
Aguero (Dzeko)

We're going to be absolutely fine today, lads.

Mammutly getting fuck loads of bites.

Maybe he's serious, after all I'm pretty sure he spent a lot of last season calling Fernandinho Flopinho and saying people only rated him because he's Brazilian. Takes all sorts I suppose.

I would put Silva on the bench today till we need him. Purely because of the utter thug that is Charlie Adams. The c**t specialises in ankle tapping/kicking, does it all game, mostly from behind, and seems to get away with it. By the time the ref stops him Silva will have had his suspect ankle kicked to fuck. I hate the slimeball Adams with a vengeance, suites Stoke, Shawcross etc. down to the ground.

We will probably be attacking the family stand in the first half. Hughes likes to make us attack the other way for some strange reason.

I think he believes it unsettles us (although it never does).

Yes, that happened last season, didn't it? If we win the toss, normal service will be resumed.

Tactical genuis, isn't he? Maybe he could try learning how to coach a team, or how to use a formation to suit the occasion, or just how to stop being a bitter, mediocre semi-failure?
