I suspect we will want to keep Jovetic fit for the rest of the season, maybe in FA cup, lots of sub appearances but maybe after a full summer including pre season behind him get him ready for next year is the only explanation I can come up with.

I heard MP in the pre match say something about Lescott asking for a transfer in January which may not have sat well with him.

Didn't Lescott say that a move was never an option for him due to the chance of winning trophies with City this season?

Yep I heard that too but not sure if he was " quoted as saying that ".

If you listen to MP Part 2 I am pretty sure he mentions Lescott and transfer in the same sentence but sometimes you need a translator for him or at least I do.
