well do you want that EDS where they couldn't keep the ball, couldn't create the chances and were utterly toothless or ineffective or do you want to watch them like our first team keeping the ball and creating chances and winning games.
If they're too lightweight in the EDS they don't stand a chance in the Prem, they don't, they need to be stronger, and it's just a fact, I'm sorry, you can go and call me what you want but tonight was just rubbish.
FFS mate they kept the ball for the vast majority of the game Suarez Asulin Razak are miles ahead of that united midfield Rekik is a class act granted the forwards are disappointing but united were dire no ability there what so ever

You're entitled to your opinion, when it came to them doing anything that matter they were poor tonight, a few do have plenty of potential as I've said in the past but tonight they didn't show it, Utd were far more clinical in creating chances even if they were quite wasteful in front of goal but they were so comfortable defensively it was quite embarrassing how toothless we were.

Helen, assulin, benali, scapuzzi and elabdellaoui will all be let go of in the summer absolute shite if we're being honest and there the older reserve players, warbara another older player I think will get a loan move as will saurez and razak. I think rekik will stay as cover personally I think he is better than savic. The other players who played tonight, facy and huws there just u18s so they have time and with the new reserve league being brought in they should gain more experiance.

Jesus H Christ the pessimism in this thread is astounding. They're kids for goodness sake and you lot are sending them to the guillotine having struggled to break down a team which had come to park the bus? The bloody first team struggled against tactics like that, never mind players who are learning their trade. I saw some real positives out there tonight.
Rekik is looking like the real deal, comfortable on the ball and a good reader of the game.
Wabara and Helan got into decent positions and demonstrated the attacking qualities of an excellent fullback, just need to work on their final balls and getting back into position to maintain shape of the team.

Sure about that? Aren't we in the nextgen which would surely see Rekik and Suarez stay. Agreed that the 20+ year olds should be offloaded.
Hopefully it will be talented youngsters playing in the nextgen.

Who are the main prospects from this squad? Suarez, razak and rekik.
Razak hardly had anything to do as they didnt attack for most of the game, and i thought suarez and rekik were brilliant. Suarez was keeping the ball, making runs, clever through balls etc... You can say he had a poor game just because we lost, what do you expect him to do when scapuzzi and omar E were the ones responsible for putting the ball in the net.
Rekik... Yes 2 bad goals to concede, but how many headers did he win? And how many mistakes did he make?!
A poor team result and disappointing performance, but suarez and rekik look outstanding prospects! They shouldnt even be playing at this level, they are u18 age but are playing in a u21 competition! Yes the rags won 2-0 but will this increase their players chances of breaking through? Will it fuck. At this age its not all about the team, its about 1 or 2 gems. Its just unfortunate when their team mates hold them back.

I'd agree with your last paragraph, I wouldn't say you were fair about the Rags, we were better for the first 10, last 10 of the first half and the last 20/25 of the 2nd but did very little, the bits where they were better they passed it more effectively and created more chances.
We definately have better prospects but 7 or 8 of the team tonight are holding back the 2 or 3 who have the potential to get into our first team squad.
