You're entitled to your opinion, when it came to them doing anything that matter they were poor tonight, a few do have plenty of potential as I've said in the past but tonight they didn't show it, Utd were far more clinical in creating chances even if they were quite wasteful in front of goal but they were so comfortable defensively it was quite embarrassing how toothless we were.

FFS! This is one game against 10 defenders.

Who are the main prospects from this squad? Suarez, razak and rekik.

Razak hardly had anything to do as they didnt attack for most of the game, and i thought suarez and rekik were brilliant. Suarez was keeping the ball, making runs, clever through balls etc... You can say he had a poor game just because we lost, what do you expect him to do when scapuzzi and omar E were the ones responsible for putting the ball in the net.

Rekik... Yes 2 bad goals to concede, but how many headers did he win? And how many mistakes did he make?!

A poor team result and disappointing performance, but suarez and rekik look outstanding prospects! They shouldnt even be playing at this level, they are u18 age but are playing in a u21 competition! Yes the rags won 2-0 but will this increase their players chances of breaking through? Will it fuck. At this age its not all about the team, its about 1 or 2 gems. Its just unfortunate when their team mates hold them back.

I'd agree with your last paragraph, I wouldn't say you were fair about the Rags, we were better for the first 10, last 10 of the first half and the last 20/25 of the 2nd but did very little, the bits where they were better they passed it more effectively and created more chances.

We definately have better prospects but 7 or 8 of the team tonight are holding back the 2 or 3 who have the potential to get into our first team squad.

Another team from the swamp tip up the Etihad knowing they are inferior, put 11 men behind the ball and hit us on the break. They are running scared you watched the game allegedly not one of their players was better than ours. They want to win games we want to develop players. And so called fans who come on here and slag players off no matter what age they are seriously piss me off look at the bigger picture

Awful game.
On that showing not one of the 22 will be first team regulars.

Helan,Rekik,Razak and Facey about our best of a bad bunch.
I thought the Rags looked more of a team,we weren't as fluid and displayed too much individuality, particularly Suarez who doesn't like to pass the ball...... Our play in the final third was poor as we lacked any cutting edge,Scapuzzi was shocking.

Overall the Rags edged it and deserved the win.

No surprise when they played together all season and won the reserve league while our reserves got knocked out of the NextGen then the ones who didn't get loan moves twiddled their thumbs in between big friendlies against Stockport and Tranmere. Next season they will have plenty to do, U21 league + NextGen.

Take it that's a rhetorical question, with Utd parking the bus!!?!!

Some bizarre comments in here, remember it is reserve football. It's about developing players (including physique and mentally). Hopefully some will then progress thro to your 1st team squad - or at the very least to a level where they can at least command a fee that, when sold, can be reinvested into the academy...

Anyway, as a rag, I'll admit I'm pleased with Utd's season at reserve and youth team level this year, tho it obviously means fuck all in the big scheme of things.

Not the most exciting game in the world would be an understatement. A little bit above the usual youth/reserve game "atmosphere" (particularly in one section/area of the CBS) with attendance reported at 5000+.

How demeaning for the "almighty reds" to lower themselves to running on the pitch at a youth game. Predicted beforehand that they would probably be sad enough to see a victory as some kind of revenge.

I doubt whether the Sheikh , Khaldoon , Roberto Mancini , or any of us will be losing any sleep over this result .......

it's a fair bet that most City fans won't even have noticed it .....

in fact i'll just check ..... yes , just as i suspected , i've forgotten it already !
