City vs Utd post match discussion

I thought Fergie got his tactics spot on today. For a long time now in games we have masses of pocession but lack a killer punch up front and teams now know that if they mark us tightly and make it difficult for us to get through we make mistakes and the opposition find that they can hit us on the break.

United looked so quick on the break today in the first 30 minutes it was frightening but they were entitled to be speedy because we were doing all the work and they capitalised on our errors to go two up and we had a fight on our hands.

not a patch on real madrid for pace
With the opportunities Utd had to break on us going 2-0 up so early it's remarkable that they were so ineffectual on the break.

I thought Rooney was class as ever. Ferguson really knows how to get the best out of him. (Play him regularly). Valencia was also a threat with his accurate crosses. But their midfield could not keep the ball, and they should think themselves very lucky to have gotten away with 3 points

Unbeaten record lost and with what a fluke goal. Two "Arsenal players" did, RVP-Nasri.
32 (?) home matches in the league without aloss was nice tho.

I was proud of the lads pulling it back like we did.
I thought apart from the finishing we were the better side. As fans we look to the team to stand up and put there bodies on the line. Zaba was immense, but what is Nasri doing in the wall if he's too wimpy to try and block it?
Dissappointed with Mario's lack of effort which contrasted with Tevez.
We looked a different side when he came on.
So close!
Hopefully we will strengthen the squad in Jan?

New Zealand, Monday morning, lovely blue sky. Why the hell isn't it raining and miserable like I feel at losing yet again in Fergie time to the scum.

weird that people really get on mancini but never mention that for two years now he's been dead right on our problems: lack of clinical finishing, a quality wide player, and insufficient midfield class

would have been better off signing nastasic and one other top quality player than garcia/rodwell/sinclair, who cost 30 million and are on probably 160k or so. (maicon was only 3 million)

I don't doubt you've been watching City since 1953. The rest of your post and some of your others tonight suggest your support for them is a little nebulous.
I'm 65 now and I've been through the lot with City. I'm grateful for the fabulous stadium we have and all the rescourses that we have now, but I don't bang on about stuff through 'blue eyes'. I'm a realist and I've learned over the years that you can't be arrogant in football. Arrogance seems to be the the norm in the forums as if the lads should never lose! 55 years I've supported City now - I've seen the lot and suffered more than I've rejoiced. Take a step back and enjoy the fact that we are where we are today - Don't believe me? Ask the scoucers in red!

And I've been a season ticket holder for 40 straight seasons so don't talk to me about arrogance or greed. Our owner wants success and he allowed his management to cock-up the summer transfer window; I'm just suggesting how I think he can rectify it. It's called an opinion.

What, never heard of the Fair Play Regs? Get a clue, will you...the three players you referenced for the window would cost a staggering amount of dosh, and we cannot afford to run afoul of Pratini's Folly. Live in the real world please, and not some corporate ivory tower...

The only thing they do is counter take the ball pass it to the fukin wings and bum rush the box. those inbred faggots have been doing it for years they try and try again till they get a goal. RVP was completely useless the whole game bar the last goal.

What's the faggot shit all about? Fuck that right off.
