Milner has said he has been playing with the injury for 18 months.

He has probably had a specialist look at it and told him he is fine to play but have an operation sometime soon.

This may not be Mancini's priority but I would be seriously disappointed if we went out tonight. Pleased to see Razak, Nasty and Suarez all starting but personally I think City need a big performance tonight. I can see Villa being 100% committed, City need to more than match them.

I like the look of that team. Good mix of experienced lads with the youngsters.

Whoever impresses tonight has a great chance of playing v Fulham. Hope that spurs them all on to really play.

Rodwell we all thought would be used as an emergency CB if necessary so I think Mancini will play him there to see how he is incase of serious injury problems.

I agree, i think they key to keeping the squad happy is rotation and the league cup gives us a good opportunity to give some match time to players who are not automatic starters in the premiership. Also give us an opportunity to try a few things out such as the 3 at the back system.
