City vs Villa Post Match Discussion Thread

Re: City vs Villa( League Cup)Post match Discussion Thread

While I agree with RM that the new signings should have arrived earlier to bed in, constant fucking about with the defence and getting rid of de Jong and AJ has played its part too. Both at least had defined roles in the team. Sad to say but unless we play our very best team (out of £500m) we dont perform, and even with that said we've been poor so far this season.

Too many playing like "ooh i play for the champions we'll win"

Can wait for Micah to return at least.

Well done Villa.

I don't understand what is going on this season.

Best defence in the league last season, four goals conceded at home to Villa this season. Do we even have a clean sheet so far?

Very poor. There must be improvement, and soon.

Appalling goalkeeping from Pantilimon on goals 1 and 3.

Mancini looks like a man who has won the lottery one week and completely lost his mind and his marbles a few weeks later.

The season is turning into a disaster.

The Mancini haters are out....get a grip you daft twat.
No need for the personal abuse is there?

To this poster yes (see his post history)....and stop acting like a mod.

It's a competition that we put half a team out for because it's not worth winning. We have had a tough few weeks and look rusty. Yet we are still unbeaten in the league.

You big bunch of drama queens. Fuck it, I'm heading down to the cellar.

Firstly it's not drama queens it's discussing the game just as Mancini, Platt and the rest of his backroom staff will do tomorrow morning to see why we were so poor.

Secondly it's not really the point that it's a shit competition because some of our squad players will need competitive games to stay sharp and be ready if called upon. 28,000 fans also paid to watch that and deserved better.

Third and finally I will repeat for a shit competition he's made Tevez compete for a full 120mins against a poor team in shocking heavy weather when Mancini decided he needed a rest only two days ago against one of the best teams in the league. Poor management in my opinion along with not addressing his players at the end of 90mins and also at H/T of E/T.

MANCINI OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What on earth does that post mean??!

Either you really mean he should be sacked? (i'm guessing not)
Or you're basically having a dig at people being critical in the minutes after another poor performance - when its absolutely understandable and deserved.

After how many poor performances is it ok to start having a critical look at the manager?

If it aint broke dont fix it, and it certainly wasn't broken last season. What on earth is going on? I'm trying to best not to flap but to be honest its impossible.

Re: City vs Villa( League Cup)Post match Discussion Thread

A wake up call. Our sloppy attitude has appeared from the first game of the season and the next couple of weeks are crucial. Villa had more desire tonight and deserved to win.

I don't care a great deal, as I have always thought that this cup was a waste of time. But you have to feel for the supporters who went and pissed away good money. Mancini and the club could have saved them all the time and money and just defaulted out of the competition, prior to the game.
