Would be surprised if he starts with Richards, Jovetic and Rodwell who are all coming back from injury. Could be a problem if they all break down. At least one will start on the bench I would imagine.

2nd trip to the Etihad this season. 1st one was the Palace game so I am hoping the goal fest I expected that day materialises tomorrow! Hoping to see a big role from Jovetic, went to see Inter Milan v Fiorentina a couple of years back and he was one of the best players on the pitch, been a fan of him since then.

I agree. Even if they don't break down they're unlikely to play 90mins. No manager would want to start a game with his three substitutions pre-determined.

First time seeing Jovetic in the flesh this will be I reckon, and as a season ticket holder who goes to half the cup games it's a bit bizarre given it's the end of January.

Less pressure on recovering players when they are introduced from the bench. By that stage the opposition is normally tiring, there is more space on the pitch, and the tackles tend to be less fierce. For me, Richards is the most likely to start with Rodwell and Jovetic coming on from the sixty minute mark.

we are unbeaten away from home for 8 games currently, we last lost away at blackburn on 1st october. it is going to take a supreme effort from city to end that streak.

i think we will lose 4-1.

You have to admire the optimism :-)

Out of those 8 they've only had 1 win - the rest being draws. In the same period they've had 6 home defeats.

They're 15th with a game in hand. I doubt they will be even up to Blackburn's standards.

Form often goes out of the window in cup games . It's important we don't draw this game - last thing we want is a replay down in Watford

The only positive thing from that would be that we'd play Chelsea on a Saturday rather than Monday.

Let's just get the cannon fodder out of the way first time.
