Congrats to our reserves. Nobody injured nor suspended. Would have preferred Tevez to have been rested at least 15 minutes longer but I guess he will be one of the first to be substituted at Wembley. Quite frankly, Hart deserves a starting place after that display, faultless. Easy MOM.
So pants dont deserves it anymore?
I think you missed Harts fumble with the ball in the first half he dropped it and was lucky. Man of the match for me was Tevez, constant effort ,shot against the bar ,the assist to Rodwell, the pass to Djeko.Anyway the decision was made at the start of the season and Pantillimon deserves his moment of glory for me.

bang on the money my friend

a good 3 pts by the shadow team, could have been out of sight by half time
but again encapsulates our season with the lack of chances converted

champions league group stages achieved so targets in the summer can be hit

Very good first half, poor second. Created a ton of chances but couldn't kill off the game. Sound familiar?
Kolo and Lescott looked a little shakey but that can happen, Kolarov was non existent for most of the match but looked a threat when he did get involved. Richards though looked superb back to full fitness. Rodwell was everywhere and very unlucky not to open his account, he is a BIG talent. Garcia was poor at the start but grew better during the match and showed a few nice touches in the second half. Nasri and Tevez where the driving forces in the team, both where creative, incisive and classy. Dzeko had a decent game and capped it with the winning goal, can't help but get the feeling he isn't giving his all though. Milner industrious as ever and showed glimpses of real quality. Barry was ok when he came on but Maicon looked rusty (understandably). Nice to see Razak although I'd have liked to see a bit more of him.

Ratings:

Hart 7

Richards 8
Kolo 7
Lescott 6
Kolarov 6

Milner 7
Rodwell 8
Garcia 6
Nasri 8

Tevez 9 MOTM
Dzeko 7

Barry 6
Maicon 5
Razak N/A

Cant disagree with any of that - Seconded

I like that analogy. You Germans are clever, maybe thats why you have the only two horses left in the CL. City didn't need to jump very high today but they cleared the hurdle.

Another ;ethargic display, doesn't seem to matter which team we put out at the moment, same result!

Accept for around 30 minutes of first half!

Tevez was great, how could they give Rodwell MOM at the game and not Tevez for everything he did!

Should of had more goals, almost threw game away, but it is 3 points!

Hope for a draw tomorrow Chelsea/Spurs or Spurs win and then maybe the likes of Suarez/Razak will get starts, Lopez and Guidetti if fit!

Bit concerned about Hart not playing Saturday but do understand.

I wish Barry would also hit through the ball when shooting, everytime I have seen him he is trying to pass it in to the net!

Joe Hart should be an '8' too , in those player ratings ..... he played very well tonite , looked steady , and did little wrong.

Like others, starting to really wonder what we might have here with Rodwell. He has plenty of PL experience already so it isn't surprising to see him look like he belongs, but he's really intriguing in our team, very active and really goes box to box. Can play it a bit, passes well, has some defensive capabilities...full package there.

Really hope he can get over these injuries, they may have decimated his City career already if we're really bringing in a Fernandinho. Probably could have ended up with loads of game time if he hadn't gotten injured so much this season, we needed his type of play desperately.

Dzeko Dzeko dzeko.....sighs.....WHY? OK he scored but has not redeemed himself this season. When he leaves in the summer I will personally offer to drive him there :). No City blood in his veins. Bye Edin. Nice knowing you.

Tevez was fab and MOTM. Garcia played his usual average to poor game. Jimbob played a good game and Harty seems to have finally sewn up the holes in his gloves. Rodders tried so hard to make his mark but failed in front of goal.

Happy to see the toy town team out tonight. Just as happy we won 3 points albeit a sloppy knuckleride.

Bring on Saturday with rested players and 11 hearts beating blue blood. Passion. Courage. Fight.
