So happy for big Nige, and what a first goal it was, screamer! Zaba basically deserves to be on the scoresheet by default every game just for the sheer amount of effort and will to win he brings to the team, so well happy for him too.
Had a couple of extra great chances, Balo should have scored (starting to feel a bit sorry for the lad, had some good chances without Tevez here but doesn't seem to be able to get it in), and Silva REALLY should have scored (seriously I love him to bits but he needs some balls on him sometimes, Balo should have done better with the follow up than that limp 'pass it in' effort too). I don't think a 3-1 scoreline again would have been too far from what should have been. And by god do we need to stop letting so far off the gas after the first 20-30 minutes, even if we're up. If we put teams to the sword for the whole first half this season alone, we'd be 3-0 up against most and killing the game in 45 minutes. I know it never works like that in football, but it's so frustrating! There's no reason we should be sat back off West Ham (without nearly all of their best players) at home when we're pushing for 4th. Oh and if we're going to insist on crossing it, maybe someone to try getting on the bloody end of it. Hate to say it, as it's been said already, but Hernandez in our team today would probably have gotten a brace if not a hat trick. No fancy tricks, just hoof it in! I guess it was frustrating but for generally the right reasons. We created chances, we just didn't finish them.
Right now that's off my chest. Get, the, fuck, in!!!!!! 3 more massive points today. Form since and including the derby, all without Tevez, has been W-W-W, which is fantastic. Yaya is turning into a true beast of the middle, and if he can run Everton and get us the 3 points there I'd be happy to call that home and dry. Spurs must have all but given up by now.
