damn, some really strong lineups here, do people not think we should try and save a few for Newcastle?

Most of the suggested line up had a rest yesterday and Newcastle is 4 days later.

They can all have another rest when we play Blackburn the following week.

Go all out first leg and they can then have another rest when thy play West Ham away.

We need to finish off West Ham at home. A full strength side to seal the tie in the first half. Then we can sub a few players on 45-60 minutes and give three players a rest. West Ham have players out and if we kill the tie off this week then some of our players can have a break in the away leg. If we had beaten Blackburn then we wouldn't have as many competitive games this month.

Play Newcastle with a full strength side and then in the cup replay with Blackburn we need a stronger team than we put out yesterday, get the game won in the first half and then we can again change the team early in the second half.

Agree with posters saying first team please. They will have had four days rest. I expect the wednesday team to also start against the toon.

Hart
Zab
Kompany
Nasty or Lescott
Kolorov or clichy
Yaya
Fernandhino
Silva or Nasri
Navas
Dzeko
Negredo

Have you seen WHU's starting 11 for today's game?

13 Adrian
39 Driver
18 Diarra
27 Potts
23 Downing
34 Moncur
35 Lletget
31 Whitehead
7 Jarvis
15 Morrison
11 Maiga

----------------Hart-----------------
Zaba----Kompany--Nastasic-----Kolarov
-----------Yaya----Fern--------------
Navas-----------Silva------------Nasri

Try and build up a decent lead going into the 2nd leg.

Have to be resting players, only Downing, Jarvis and maybe Morrison have been regulars this season. BFS even played without a striker instead of Maiga.

Yeah WHU tries to save all the energy to the City match. But also they have lot of injuries, physioroom says Noble, Tomkins, Collins, Carroll, Reid, Vaz Te are all out.

An easy 2-0 win.

I'm watching the game. Don't recognise half the players. Sounds like they are U-21s.

Does that mean they are concentrating on our game, or the League? Probably both. I don't think WHU can afford to let a Semi-Final pass between their fingers without a fight.

HopeFully Jovetic is fit for this match
Hopefully, but it would be totally unrealistic to expect anything special after he has been out for so long.....though no doubt he will be written off almost immediately

He'll probably phone in with a cold...

Yes, but worth noting they have a huge game away at Cardiff at weekend.

Hopefully finish this game off on Wed. Big Sam will make plenty of changes due to injuries and league position.

Hart

Zaba Kompany Lescott Kolarov

Navas Yaya Silva Nasri

Dzeko Negredo

Go for the kill 3-0 will do it :)
Dzeko Negredo both up top, sorry you must have posted this before the Blackburn game , err.. wait a minute.

Different at home mate.
Don't agree. To me it just doesn't work, full stop.

4-0 against Forest, if this gets any worse they'll have no manager by Wednesday

Now I am sure it will be a draw on Wednesday. Logic would say we beat them more than 4-0 if Forest does this to them. But it will be a 2-2 draw now.

:)

West Ham to sack Allardyce today and replace him immediately with Martin O'Neill... whose West Ham beat City 1-0 with a 93rd minute goal.

Just kidding. :)

But if they're this bad on Wednesday, we can make the 2nd leg a dead rubber and send half the team home.

capitol cup semi with WHU

has the WHU semi just got harder? after seeing WHU today @ Forest, is BF Sam likely to be out before Weds?
