If they are as well organised as Palace this will be a tight game 1 or a 2-0 and expect the record for time wasting ever and falling over trying to win as many free kicks as possible

Heard fat sam moaning that they played on sunday so we had an extra day
Welcome to our world

He should worry! Just realised both the other semi finalists played Sunday and Tuesday!

Apologies in advance for being slow, losing track of days/dates with all these games,

Why do people like to post things like this?

What does it matter that people think, if people want to get carried away let them, what are you afraid of? Disappointment?

Ok mate you win the arguement FFS. Just making a comment don't wet yourself.
Furthermore I was wrong it was the quarterfinal not semifinal of the FA cup. Please forgive me.

I am not after winning any arguments, I just wish people would for a change cut people some slack, it's this magical thinking that gets to people that if people are confident somehow it will all go wrong "Typical City" I read quite a few other forums and there is not a set of fans more pessimistic and doom laden than many City fans, true we have history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory but that's what it is just history it does not mean that the future will be like that

He's got a point, though.

Since the dippers game we have been some way short of our best. The reasons for this are obvious and don't need repeating, but a below par City and a fired up West Ham could spell trouble.

Don't get me wrong - over two legs we have the quality to see them off, and I'm confident of a win by enough of a margin on Wednesday to put the tie out of reach by the second leg, but stranger things have happened at sea.

This isn't because we are 'typical City' it's just that this is football. I don't mind blues not counting their chickens.

But every game, there are doom mongers, portraying the demise of MCFC if we say anything positive.
I will keep on saying, nothing that is said on here, will EVER have any bearing on the result. If some
section of our support think MP and the players are not totally professional and prepared for whoever
we are playing, then it is them that are seriously deluded.

So will they stop telling me that we need to be this and need to be that. We fucking know and
so do the Club.

Got to play a full strength team, try and win the tie in the first leg. If we are 3-0 up I'd expect us to kill the game at the Boleyn. Anything less and they are still well in the game!

3rd League Cup semi in 4 years, home leg first again, this time we need to put it to bed in the first game. Against United they were just simply better than us at the time, against Liverpool i though we should of done alot better against them at home.

I would take 1 or both cups this season.

Wouldn't mind seeing Negredo rested/dropped for this. Think his form has dropped in the last few games. looks exhausted.

I would take all 3 plus the league - but them I'm greedy !

should kill this off at etihad, they more intrested in survival so cant see them putting up much a fight, they rather survive than get into final, did wigan no favors in fa,though we wont go there

Expecting a comfortable City win by three or four on Wednesday but just in case, anyone know if away goals count double or if there's extra time if the scores are level after the second leg?

Anybody else reckon Sam could be let go after this game?
nope, I reckon they'll wait till the summer either way, if they were going to get rid they would have done it already instead of letting him sign new players in January.

First of all, I want to get this won full stop. And I'd take a win over the two legs, with two tough games if offered now. Really like the League Cup. It's silverware in the bag, and you can press on with other things. Be a great boost to win this before we face Barca in the Nou Camp and who doesn't like a trip to Wembley.

Manny will have had his team in mind a week or so ago, but if his thought process was to line up like Blackburn, twice in a row, it needs a rethink. I'd just go Dzeko up front and try not to force the partnership with Negredo too much, plus rest him.

I would go with our strongest side plus only Dzeko up front (rest Negredo) and then on Sunday strongest side possible again with Negredo up front. Rotation can then kick in for the Blackburn game.
