City Watch owner sentenced to 28 months in prison

A Community Order, a load of requirements (including a targeted programme), a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, going on the Sex Offenders Register and costs. Either that, or a suspended sentence with the same requirements and ancillary Orders.

Even for a first offence, however, if there’s clear evidence of distribution of images, that tends to up the ante considerably.

For most, the stigma that is attached to committing such offences has far more impact on their lives than a short prison sentence ever would, and the courts recognise that, through the prism of prison numbers and the fact that the foregoing sentences are more likely to lead to a change in future behaviour than sending them to prison for a few months.

One of the worst aspects of such offending is the victims of these crimes knowing images of themselves, having their childhoods destroyed, in the most wicked of ways, are ’out there’, ad infinitum. It must be a hugely violating (and enduring) experience, that probably never leaves them.

Human beings can be (and frequently are) such cunts.

Why didn't they just get him done over
That's what I would have done, I know I know, it's against the law etc etc but fuck him.

Because from the moment the police became involved they handled it brilliantly. I can't speak highly enough of the officer in charge of the investigation.

Plus quite frankly, Stuart needed to be outed publicly which required police, courts, guilty, so it could be reported on and his 'brand' could be forever tainted. As satisfying as it may have been for those involved to deal with it personally, their decision to involve the police has been totally vindicated by his guilty plea, and then the sentence imposed by the judge.

Fair enough mate

Strange really, I'm a Sports Journalist myself but cover German football for a 2. Bundesliga team. As a season ticket holder etc I'd always considered getting into the City scene a bit more, though I doubt I could've been completely objective. City_Watch always seemed liked one I could've gotten involved with, especially since I'd followed it since the early days. Glad I didn't now. What a deranged individual.

Shame that mate, they’ve just got a vacancy

Nasty business.

I have just unfollowed the Twitter account but there's about 144,000 others who need to; although I presume it will be inactive going forward.
Well that’s 10,000 in a day on there.

Half of them will be non-UK fans that haven’t read about it yet.
