You make a good point. I use a VPN so I can watch iPlayer and Netflix and Skype and FaceTime/what’s app calls (as VOIP is banned in Qatar).Using a VPN is facilitating paedophilia and stalking

Most business use VPNs for security purposes as it encrypts data and makes it harder for hackers to hack and obtain valuable data.You make a good point. I use a VPN so I can watch iPlayer and Netflix and Skype and FaceTime/what’s app calls (as VOIP is banned in Qatar).
Anyone who works from home most likely will be using a VPN connected to their work to ensure an encrypted connection and improve security

Tbf there could be many weaknesses one can exploit when one wants to obtain information/data.
A hacker will pick the weakest area to exploit so having a VPN doesn't guarantee security
