City will now attack the south end in the 2nd half

This isn't a pop at the family stand, or the dads, mums or kids who sit in it, but visually it's been pretty much a disaster from day one. And it seems to be getting worse.

Yes we all know why it was created. But prior to that happening, was sitting in other parts of the stadium with your kids any worse? Be honest.

There has to be another answer to the family stand. Having one end of the stadium constantly full of empty seats, and seats emptying long before the match is over, doesn't look good.

I honestly can't think of another PL stadium that has a whole family stand at one of the stadium.

Which City player or City team wants to attack 2000 empty seats, and City fans walking up the steps with 10 minutes left of the game.

A couple of friends from Portugal are travelling over in early May and I am organising tickets for the Crystal Palace home game. There is nearly a month to go and I looked around the seat planner and there are even now very few seats available. I looked at blocks in the Family Stand from 135 to 138 and there are also just a few single seats available here and there. Surely the club must take a look at the situation more closely where people with tickets just don't bother turning up and don't even use the ticket exchange or give their tickets to a friend or something. I have no idea what can be done to try and remedy this state of affairs or whether the club wants to do anything as basically every home game is a sell out with all the money received.

1894 group do a great job at least they are trying to do stuff .plenty moan but do nowt

Agreed. They've stuck to their task throughout. Well done to all.

Can they hold a match day bucket collection ? It's the best way for them to raise substantial funds.

I'll hold a bucket at the end of the bridge if it helps.

Best wishes 1894.

I moved to the Family Stand this season so that I could get my son a season ticket. Obviously I preferred it when we kicked towards us in the second half, so that we had a better view, but can see the logic in attacking the more vocal end from now on. It's not that big a deal anyway.

Regarding people leaving early, I'm not really sure why it's more prevalent in the Family Stand than anywhere else in the ground. We're closer to the tram stop and car parks than anyone else, so you'd think there would be less of a rush to leave.

I don't think it's anything to do with kids either, unless it's a midweek game. Oddly, there don't seem to be that many kids in the stand anyway. The vast majority around where I sit are all adults.

This is the issue, isn't it? Adults just getting cheaper season cards if you ask me, but the purpose of the stand should be for families with kids.

At the very least the adult price should be the same as the South stand, and have bigger discounts for the kids' seats.

Either way, even when I was in that end, I felt it was at least twice as big as it should've been.

Yeah, the second tier of the North Stand would probably have sufficed as a Family Stand.

I still don't get why adults in the North Stand are more likely to leave early than anywhere else in the ground though?!

On balance North Level 1 is probably the best stand to be in if you wanted to leave early, closest to Metrolink and the big North car park.

I thought the proximity to the tram and car park would mean you don't have to leave as early.
