It is presumably Corboz but surely if she is ineligible for that game she will have been for others so could be screwed for the league as well.Unless it's one of those silly situations where she had to be registered by a certain date to qualify for the cup comp

The thing is, the Sunderland game wasn't Corboz's first game. It wasn't even her first in the competition. What's more, she joined the club a full month before that game so there's no way that the issue was that the player's registration hadn't been completed. I can't see which other player it might have been though.

Either way, I can't remember the last time that a team were found not guilty of fielding an ineligible player so I think we have to expect that we're going to get kicked out of the cup.

I'd have thought in this day and age a club secretary or the 4th Official would be handed a list of registered players to pre-warn and pre-screen against such matters.
That Sunderland game featured three players that never featured previously in the previous cup game:
Manchester City:
Bardsley, Bronze, Stokes, Houghton (c), Radtke (Walsh 55), Beattie, Scott, Christiansen, Duggan, Parris, Corboz (Johnston 77).

Unused subs: Brooks, Brougham, Flint, Lipman, McManus.

The previous cup game featured:
Manchester City:
Bardsley, Stokes (Brougham 61), McManus, Radkte (Stanway 46), Lipman, Houghton (c), Christiansen (Flint 61), Corboz, Duggan, Parris, Johnston.

Unused subs: Brooks, Tynan.

At Ar$enal in the league, Scott, Beattie and Bronze played. I'm guessing league registration means cup registration.
Manchester City: Bardsley, Bronze, Stokes, Radtke, Houghton (c), Beattie, Scott, Christiansen, Duggan, Parris (McManus 88), Corboz (Johnston 80).

I thought Walsh played in the league 4 times too though and twice in the cup...

I'm fairly certain I've seen teams and mavericks just turn up... week in, week out and give less than their all over the years. City have had this a fair few times too.
 
They're after our money, or the Good Sheikh's money! It'll be a £3Billion fine and banned from the next five Continental Cups, five FAW Cups, and we have to demolish the Minihad!

But the question will remain after the ink has dried on the cheque and the bulldozers have moved out - Who didn't check the rules with a nit comb?
 
I was at the match, and if as I suspect it was Corboz, I can assure you she didn't do much to influence the outcome of the game. She looked short of confidence in the final third.

As @acton28 pointed out, the only player it could be is Walsh since she's the only player to have not already featured in a cup game for us this season. A major cock-up for the club if this proves true and we are booted from the competition.
