Unsure how many 'janet come latelys' there are here, they had a womens team for years. Band wagon and such.

Anyway squad update as they wont release this, Natasha Flint, Emma Lipman & Krystle Johnston all released from their contracts.

Can't say I'm surprised. A little disappointed, especially as I think all of them had been there since the WPL days, though I suspect their replacements will improve the quality of the team.

Krystle was the last remaining player from the WPL team of old. Quite suprised she was released if I'm being honest. Ever game I've watched when she's played she's been very good and made an impact.

Emma came over from Leeds Ladies at the beginning of the WSL era. Not surprised she's been released if I'm being honest. She's good, certainly better than most in the league at left back, she's just not at the level we are aspiring to. She is actually employed as a physio at City in addition to her playing duties so I'd imagine she'll be around in some capacity after this.

Flint, I believe, came over to us as a youth prospect from one of the local ladies teams, can't remember who though. Though fit, she hasn't had much playing time this past season, so perhaps this move will give her more game time to develop, she is only 19 after all.

She's works in the Sports Science team at the Academy as an Athletic Development coach. Never has been a physio.

Congratulations Man City women on getting into the Champions league. It's a pleasure watching you. No diving, shirt pulling, swearing at the ref, spitting or sulking. The mens team could learn a lot. Maybe they could be made to watch one or two womens home games a month ;-). Oh & well done Jill Scott on the 'crossbar challenge double' at the new south stand test event.

However just the odd head butt, sending off and violent conduct charges. Lovely!

Also, pretty much all the indiscipline happened in the first month of the season. After that, it was a lot quieter.

Surprised at these to be honest.

Flint didn't really have an impact this year but there's potential there. Lippo annd Johnston also played well when called upon.

Bump to congratulate 7 City players for being called up to the England squad - congratulations to Karen Bardsley, Lucy Bronze, Steph Houghton, Demi Stokes, Izzy Christiansen, Jill Scott and Toni Duggan.

City have contributed more players to this squad than any other club, I believe.
