2-0 well deserved. Some of MCWFC goals have been stunning so far. That bronze goal was well taken.

Cannot we have a mixed-11 City vs City charity match in the near future?

These guys are doing it right - well done - did anyone actually get to see it on Facebook? - I tuned in on 35 min and then, after half time, just kept getting a repeat of the first half (which I couldn't bare to watch because of the commentary - (sorry Kel, but not interested in chit chat whilst the game's on ...relations in California...come on raise your game girl).

didn't see the game tonight but have seen several, Toni Duggan is a really intelligent footballer, excellent technique.

Played very well, should have been a much more convincing win, considering the russians were considered favourites due to their experience, I thought they were very poor, dangerous on the break perhaps but they came for a 0-0, and thoroughly didn't deserve it. If we defend like we can next week, we should go through.

Excellent first showing in the competition.

Oh and the only British team not to get beat so far.

To be fair the other British teams have played decent sides and those Russians were terrible tonight. They weren't considered favourites as we were massively odds on with the bookies. Hopefully we avoid Lyon and Bayern in the next round as I'd rate our chances against anyone else.

I'm not sure how much the bookies knew about them, but bookie odds are based on the numbers betting, and in the UK those betting (and I imagine it was very few to be fair) would be backing City, as they will have seen us play.

Those that know about women's football (and I've no idea about it outside of watching our girls) seemed to think it was a tough draw for us, because they normally get to the last 16, and we've never played in the competition before.

I thought they were pretty poor, but their game plan was a 0-0, and they didn't seem able to change it once we scored, I think we'll score away, so that makes their task much harder, and we rarley concede, so we should progress.

I didn't quite hear fully what was said on Radio5Live this afternoon but they did mention that City will find it tough against the Russian team because they
had been finalists sometime in recent years.
