I'm not sure how much the bookies knew about them, but bookie odds are based on the numbers betting, and in the UK those betting (and I imagine it was very few to be fair) would be backing City, as they will have seen us play.
Those that know about women's football (and I've no idea about it outside of watching our girls) seemed to think it was a tough draw for us, because they normally get to the last 16, and we've never played in the competition before.
I thought they were pretty poor, but their game plan was a 0-0, and they didn't seem able to change it once we scored, I think we'll score away, so that makes their task much harder, and we rarley concede, so we should progress.
No mate betting on women's football is very big business so their knowledge of them would have been very good and the odds compiled well or they'd lose a fortune. Agree that we'll score again over there though so we should have no problem going through. To be honest I think the Russians would struggle to play any other way against us but if they do come out in an attempt to turn it round then I think we'll win by 3 or 4 as were are far superior to them.
