She deserves the stick she's getting.
Posters referring to her as a girl are just patronising her really.
She is footballer player and is in the public eye,her choice.

She absolutely definitely does NOT 'deserve' the she is getting

She isn't getting that much stick.
And she isn't above criticism.
Calling her a "slag," a "whore,"and suggesting she should be burnt at the stake suggests some fans might have taken it a bit far?
Unless you consider that a relative reaction?

Try quoting my whole post.
How do you know that the repliers are fans of football and not just arseholes?
Twatter users would insult a rocking chair given half an opportunity.
Some bellends call someone a slag and it's indicative of what the net thinks?
Give over!

So are you now saying that some of the stick she got was not deserved?

Mainly because all of those things were said on here by long term users

I don't do Twitter mate so haven't read what's been said on there. I did read the whole of yesterday's thread on here which got pulled, the majority were using those insults.
Wherever they were Blue's or not is subjective as the board has definitely seen a spike in wum accounts since Sunday.
I'd like to think they were all Utd fans who saw an opportunity to strike while the irons hot but unfortunately that's probably wishful thinking.

The amount of blues defending her on social media just about sums up why our support has deteriorated to the state it is these days.

This is the bit I'm struggling with. Its the second time in the last 10 pages that someone has linked our 'deteriorating support' to the people who are defending a young girl who has been slaughtered on the internet for posting a picture of herself with a famous person. Its a ridiculous suggestion and the faux outrage shown by some is comparable to the old 'I'm a bigger blue than you' argument.

Can you try to be honest?

She isn't young, she isn't a girl, it wasn't "a famous person"...it wasn't @#!*% Megan Fox was it... it was the manager of the rags after beating us.

I think it's pretty clear that what you are actually about is stripping her of her nature as a rational actor cos, after all, we can't expect anything better from giggly just 17-reading girls, right? That's the defence?

Ok, maybe I was trying to over simplify things. Calling her a girl when she is actually a woman, I'll give you that. To me though, someone in their 20's is still young and like it or not, LVG is famous. The timing of her posting the picture is poor and foolish as I've already stated earlier. But that, I'm afraid is about as sinister as it gets in my opinion. Maybe I'm wrong, but no-one knows for sure what she was thinking of at the time. Do you really think she did it on purpose and if so do you have a better insight into her reasons why than I have in believing she didn't?

Chabal she definitely deserves criticism and after popping over to read her replies on her Twatter page she comes across as a bit of a shit-stirrer who has enjoyed the notoriety.
Someone on that feed got stick not for calling her a slag but for suggesting their dead Nan was a better footballer than Duggan.
That's banter not abuse.

That's fair enough mate.
But we have to always remember that when we give a male football player stick whist it doesn't totally excuse that we have to be fair and dish it out to the ladies too.
How many arguments and spats have been caused by facebook and Twitter?
