Sorry, I'm obviously out of my comfort zone when discussing MCWFC, and seem to be making enemies all over the place. I think it's best for everyone, if I return to the Stuttgart thread.
Not really, its new to most of us, you went to see them play so you are clearly interested, we are likely to be at the forefront of women's football for a long time. Its also in a phase of rapid development, and the WC will only see that increase. I think many forget its a very different game to men's football, and it always will be.

We at City are blessed with close to the best in both formats.

I went along yesterday to see my first ever women's match (yes totally jumping on the bandwagon) with my 9 year old daughter. She absolutely loved it which is probably the main thing but I did think they missed a bit of a trick with some of the extra stuff that could have been going on outside of the game itself. Some of the cheese that some people dislike across the bridge at The Etihad (bands playing music, silly games, interviews with celebrities etc) would have leant itself perfectly to the day yesterday. I'm not sure if we maybe there was that kind of stuff on and we missed it but I just thought there was more scope for getting the hundreds of kids that attended more involved.
Overall we did really enjoy it and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the football that was played. Some of the passing and moves that were put together were genuinely brilliant.

Sounds great. I intend to get down to a game before the end of the season. I've been to a couple of youth games in the new stadium and it really is a great place to watch a match.

It was good to see the old, the young, Yorkshire folk (in Leeds shirts), even a ManUre fan or two, many Oldham and County fans, as well as seasoncard holders from Etihad, etc at the game. There seemed to be a middle Eastern reporter recording TV spots for UAE News.
That said, things like queues and on the day sales need improving.

The programme and teamsheets are free and easy to find.
Snacks etc are overpriced as expected but the game is well worth a watch. The crowds are quiet but I guess that comes with the factor of it all being so new.

We've come alongway since damp days in a drab atmosphere peering over an athletic track...

This club is going places.

Its always annoying to have to queue but those who queued to get tickets for the Gillingham play off game know what a real queue is!
