That and the expectation from joining a bigger club. He was pretty much pressure-free when he went to Pompey. I think Leeds were after him too when we were, another big club. Fair play to him, he got his 10% signing on fee, probably coined £15k a week here and then buggered off when it was clear he couldn't handle it. Not a bad old pay day at all really.

Yes it was all probably too big of a step for him, pretty sure he signed for Portsmouth straight from the Armed Forces did he not ? Was always going to be an issue to be honest looking back.
Yeah he did, and then hit jackpot with his performances - no pressure. The pressure came when he was expected to do it after signing from another club for big money, rather than just coming out of the army and playing for Pompey. He's probably in the majority to be honest, who would fail to handle that pressure. At least he gave it a go though.

I gather this is some kind of piss take ?

Cavani 50mil
Isco 30mil
Navas 20mil
Fernandinho 20mil

That would be £120mil approx and wouldn't be a bad shout. Add in a couple of cheapies and we'd be set.

Who will we sell to raise the funds?
raise funds... Why bother?
Monaco dont give a fuck... Why should we?

Everyone who is spending money will have a plan, they are not stupid.

It's just that they are not letting Platini know what that plan is, yet.

Well if a club like monaco have the ability to balance out a 100 million transfer window in the French ligue 1, after just being promoted, with no champions league money and only a 18,500 capacity stadium... I'm sure we can.

Again, no, don't confuse Bradbury's performances for us with those in his days at Portsmouth, I watched plenty of Lee Bradbury playing for them and he was excellent time after time mate, we took a chance, it didn't pay off, simple as that really.

Probably Be just 3 out of those 4?

Money raised from Dzeko, Garcia, Sinclair, Nasri + Balotelli (about 90 mill there alltogether?)+ Toure, Bridge, Santa Cruz off the books....But If Tevez goes as well we might need another striker.....

No we took a chance on a player we expected to pay £1/1.5m for - instead we were shafted by implausibly buffoon of a tribunal that forced us into paying over £3m for the same player. Funny how when the world of football saw that price we paid the rules were changed to favour the buying club more after that. See the Sturridge transfer to Chelski as evidence.

You failed to mention that Monaco have a core home support of 5,000!
