Mike Summerbee 1969/70 LC semi-final 2nd leg at the swamp. Only ever time we've met them in a major cup semi,we went onto win it.
Not the best goal but it was one i was at,it was great & i'll never forget it.

The greatest City goal was scored by Jim Melrose ..... mid eighties ..... at home to Notts County , 2-0 win ....... an unbelievable volley into the North Stand goals from around the halfway line.
This one ^ centre circle, chest, thigh then volley. Before the days of cameras at every game, would have been goal of the season.

What do you lads think of these two lobs by David White in the match against Liverpool in December 1991? I was 13 years old at the time, had just taken up supporting City that summer, and this guy was beyond doubt my hero at that point. He had formed a partnership with Quinn every bit as potent as the one Quinn would later form with Kevin Phillips at Sunderland (same manager too, long ball Peter Reid). I watched this game live on Irish television in a front room also containing my Liverpool supporting older brother. White's second was from such a difficult angle, it's easy to think of it as a hit and hope, but I genuinely believe he meant it. I couldn't believe it when it dropped in at the far post! Hope this brings back some good memories, a season when we finished in the top 5 :)
