The Glaziers net spend. 4 cheap suits, box of herbal tea , 4 wank mags and a strap on for Neil Ashton £172 .50Facts just get in the way of all the hate.
No reasoning with the haters.
The answer to your post is £750Didn’t want to start a new thread and saw this one. I read we have spent £1.3B and thought that can’t be correct so fired up transfermarkt to some surprising and interesting results.
The net cost of the squad which won us the league in 2011/12 was £250M, a bulk of that squad lasted a long time and was well worth the money.
There was about £200M wasted on crap over 12 years, which isn’t as bad as I thought.
Where has the rest of the money gone?
Our current squad cost £850M! I couldn’t believe that.
Utds current squad cost £700M but they have a few more players from the youth team in it which has saved them around £100/150M I reckon.
Utds wage bill is £47M a year higher than ours!
It’s backing up what Pep said tonight, all the big teams spend money, United have spent the same as us more or less. The answer to your post is £750
That's how much my season card costs in block 104, which is one of the best non padded seats in the stadium
If we continue to play this kind of football and that season card price remains the same, then I couldn't give a shit about squad costs
Correct. We invest a lot of money obviously but we’ve seen a large majority of successful buys. United’s squad is £100 less than ours and they’re absolutely shite and in today’s market would need to spend another 150-250 million in order to compete for trophies again.Chelsea’s 3 biggest signings this summer are all sat on the bench most weeks cause they’ve been awful. Let’s not forget the UEFA lover boys Barca riddled with debt(ffp lmao) who spend 140 on coutinho (shite and loaned out) Dembele was 100+ as was Greizmann who both have hardly been superstars for them, but that’s quiet cause it’s not the ‘Arab oil money’. People can criticise us all they want but they need to look at their own clubs firstIt’s backing up what Pep said tonight, all the big teams spend money, United have spent the same as us more or less.
We just play better football.
Hasn't been updated in yearsagree with all but above.
If you’ve based the 1m -> 5m on inflation then that’s wrong. The ‘inflation’ needs to be based around the overall progression in football revenue -which since 1979 is going to be quite a lot more than 500%.
Liverpool supporter Tomkins has a reasonable algorithm for PL transfer values at current rates (not sure what season he goes to)

How dare you speak precisely the truthI think net spend is a load of shite that means fuck all.
We spent about £6.45 million on Pablo Zabaleta and kept him for 9 years. He became a City legend. Then he left on a free and we signed Walker for £50 million.
We could’ve sold him 5 years earlier for a big price to help our net spend but we didn’t want to and he didn’t want to leave.
The same with Agüero, Yaya, Kompany, Silva and now KDB and Sterling. We could’ve sold Agüero for £70 million for example and replaced him with Aubameyang for half that. Our net spend then looks better but we wanted to keep Agüero.
Liverpool didn’t sell Coutinho to improve their net spend. They sold him because he wanted to leave.
Absolutely this.I think net spend is a load of shite that means fuck all.
