City's New Kits - 2019/20

The club badge being placed on a backdrop that looks like a nazi iron cross just isn't going to happen.

What ? Nazi iron cross?

Looks nothing like a Nazi cross.

#snowflake

That style of cross has been used in heraldry since medieval times (Knights Templar etc.). The
Iron Cross as a medal has been around since the 19th century: it's only Nazi if there's a swastika placed in the centre of it.

The issue with the cross is in @NeilYoungIsBack 's post

In the middle East it is a symbol of the crusades, Christian vs Muslim, so no way would our club's shirt carry that emblem

I know what it is. But it looks like an iron cross so they're never going to do it.

anybody know the links to the knights templars and maltese cross and the guardians holy grail ???

Tomorrow’s Sun will probably run a story about City and our Nazi past now ffs

Seriously. Criticized for having no history. Do St. Mark's anniversary kit to reflect our history . . . criticized for reflecting someone else's awful history.

Clear it's a fan job but it really is a thing of beauty.

The Iron Cross is from the Tuetonic cross of the order Night Tuetonic, St Marks ued the Maltese cross of the knighte hospitalars, completely different crosses.

St Johns Ambulance use the same too.
