City's sullen goal-scorers?

RibboCop, Dunnie was usually trying to protect his team mates incompetence!

My problem is that I have rose tinted glasses when it comes to the Dunnie Monster! He can do no wrong for me. :-) :-) :-)
Couldn’t agree more he took the whole deficiencies of the team on his shoulders you don’t get player of the year x3 for nothing. But I still can’t get that look on his face not just own goals but any goal we conceded

Dave Ewing never made much of the shedload of goals he scored. Ok, it was a small shed, nay a wee box, a thimble! But the big fellah just took it in his stride.
For looking after Bert in the last few minutes of he 56 final he will always remembered with affection. Another memory of the big lad was at Maine Road when Denis came back with Torino, loose ball on the edge of our area was being attacked by three or four of their forwards, Dave barrelled after it and the Torino forwards became. conspicuous by their absence.

Denis Law after his backheel at the Swamp!
He may have been the ONLY BLUE not grinning ear to ear or dancing around like a lunatic!
The hardest part of that day was leaving the ground without a smile on my face - until we met another blue who we knew. The recognition was as subtle as a masonic handshake, but it was there.
We had one or several in the Fletchers that night, though.

I loved Dunny, but in truth he was often a back to the wall kick it in row Z carthorse. I'm not being disrespectful, he's a legend to what he gave the club. Sheer guts, passion and never say die attitude which us blues were endeared to, (and vice versa). He loved the club and he fought to the end... Legend.
