Nicky Weaver at Maine Road in a 1-0 win against Ipswich in the Championship under Big Joe.Individually kept Ipswich at bay single handed.

My Dad was away in Germany at the time but phoned me on my mobile after 90 mins. I recall spluttering down the phone to him that I'd just seen something quite special.

JH the other night was something else though as well.

Was just about to post this.

It almost seemed like we'd won to me watching Weavers performance that night.

Ermmm we did mate. 1-0

Ha ha - you know my memory has the result as a 0-0 draw purely because of Weaver. It's so ingrained that I didn't even notice it said 1-0 on the thread.

Tony Coton opening game of a season in early 90's v Leeds at Maine Road 1-1.

The day was 14th August 1993. Got married that day, still got a ball signed by the team as a wedding present thanks to Gary Johnson (RIP).

Burridge's 2nd half appearance against Newcastle. We were all so eager to see him the reception he received was the stuff of true hero's; if it wasn't for his heroics (and newcastles inability to get a shot on target) we might not have drawn that game 0-0.
