Since I started to go in 1988 I would say the worst player I have seen, ability wise, is David Brightwell. There are probably more, seeing as we have been fucking shit for the majority of the time since then, but David Brightwell was a player who drained the breath out of my lungs when his name was read out.
There will be worse though, if I thought about it.
