I wouldn’t ever want to be fair to Boris, but he was answering a question about it from the Lib Dem leaderShouldn't he be more concerned with other matters?
A potential war on the horizon and he's talking about moving a game of football?

No way is UEFA going to move the CL final from St. Petersburg; Gazprom is a major sponsor, if not THE major sponsor. Gazprom is run and owned by the same ex-KGB thugs who are now led by Putin and his cronies. Gazprom has it's roots in St. Petersburg, Putin and his cronies also have their roots there, it is where they learnt to launder money from illegal oil trading, then fraudulently gain control of Russia's banking system and natural resource industries. It's a hot target in parliament right now, this is getting moved.
If Russia keep on advancing, there’s not a chance the final is played in Russia. No way is UEFA going to move the CL final from St. Petersburg; Gazprom is a major sponsor, if not THE major sponsor. We should know by now that UEFA belongs to the same club as the all the other hapless corrupt international organisations, where ethics, fair play and decency are inconvenient obstacles to be navigated around.
You have only given reasons for it to move. Sponsors are small money compared to TV rights and replaceable. No way is UEFA going to move the CL final from St. Petersburg; Gazprom is a major sponsor, if not THE major sponsor. Not sure when the article was written, but it was definitely pre-expansion of the south stand so wouldn't have made the list as capacity was below 50k. Capacity is still too low now to host a champions league final (needs to be above 60k)How come the Etihad isn’t on there, it hosted a Uefa cup final back in 2008?
The IOC still held the Sochi Winter Olympics after Russia seized Crimea. If UEFA did move the CL final from St. Petersburg as a result of Russian aggression against the Ukraine then the UEFA personnel making that decision would become prime targets for a dose of Novachek, or simply a bullet. That is how the current regime in Russia operates. You have only given reasons for it to move. Sponsors are small money compared to TV rights and replaceable.
It might well be down to the two teams who make the final to state that they are not going to Russia. But if that happens then Rochdale are next season's bet for the FA Cup.If Russia keep on advancing, there’s not a chance the final is played in Russia.
Can’t fill it empty seats etcHow come the Etihad isn’t on there, it hosted a Uefa cup final back in 2008?
