Hi all, for the Monaco game I am staying in Nice but the last train back is at 9:50pm and with the match finishing at 11pm it may be awkward to get back. I was just looking to see if anyone has any advice on getting back to Nice at that time or if anyone is doing the same at all?

Taxi is around €100. Can't guarantee it will be the same but suspect the rich folk of Monte Carlo will want the riff raff out of there as soon as possible.

I had a look at Villarreal mate and there’s next to fuck all there - closest hotel I could find is 2 miles out of the town centre in the middle of nowhere!I fly into Valencis morning of the game was going to.stay in villarreal as no trains after the game but would rather stay in valencia
Beginning to think Valencia might be a bit too cultured for a European away trip and save that for a city break with the other half, and perhaps do Benidorm instead, jumping on one of the coaches that people are running from there

I’ve heard of at least one person who is running a coach from there to Villarreal on the day of the game. I know a lot will stay in Benidorm and get the coach from there but I’ve been to Benidorm before, whereas Valencia is new to me.

Good shout - I see the last train back there from Villarreal at 11.37. If I miss that, then a taxi shouldn't be too muchone night in benidorm then castellon de la plana on the night of the game

I'm sure someone mentioned on here that as well as Benidorm someone was running a coach from Valencia, anyone know for sure and if so can they leave details?Yes i have had a mini break there before

They said it was dry last time as well but it wasn’t. The city is split by the state border and there are plenty of bars on the other side of the border which is close to the stadium. We went to Menton which is a short train or taxi ride and it was great. Nice beach resort.The fact that monaco is dry on the day of the game kinda hints they dont want football fans hanging around

A group of ticketless City fans lowered the tone when they watched the game on TV in the Royal Yacht Club bar. Monaco is a unique away trip.Yeah. It was all abit odd.
