CL QF Draw - City V Spurs ===== SF V Ajax (If we get there)

Most Premier teams play a lot more open, until they play us. Who's to say European teams won't follow suit.
Barca and Ajax follow the same footballing style that we do, parking the bus is anathema to them. Spurs, Liverpool and Porto are all too reliant on winning the ball high up the field to create chances, they can't sit deep. Rags of the English and Italian variety will park the bus and try to hit us on the break and with set pieces.

There's a probably fake leak with:
Man United v Tottenham
Juventus v Porto
Barcelona v City
Liverpool v Ajax

Anyway, if I were fixing the draw from a neutral perspective, with the goal of getting a Juve-Barca final, here's what I think they'd do:

1st Bracket Juve v Ajax, Man City v Porto
2nd Bracket Tottenham v Barcelona, Liverpool v United

When you look at their results this season you can see it, in fact it looks more like chaos than anything else, much of the chaos going their way.
Yeah win or lose they go expansive and attacking. We'd have to be right at it for 180 minutes against them but we should be able to take advantage. Still not who I'd want to get.

I don't think we should fear them though, I think they're beatable home and away, obviously RM probably thought the same, but we're in a far better position imho.
I just think they've the ability to cut us open at the back and they'd have no pressure on them at all. Give me a team with something to lose over that any day. Spurs or Porto would be preferable. I'd say the rags but derbies take too much mental energy.

I just hope it doesnt work out where we would face Liverpool, Barca, and Juve to win it, in any order. Even if we face the worst possible matchup, Barca IMO, next, then in the semi finals would get Ajax-Porto winner, thats a good draw. Ot at least not a bad one.

My preference in order:

1. Porto
2. United
3. Tottenham
4. Ajax
5. Liverpool
6. Juve
7. Barca

No easy ties to be fair but would think if we played to our capabilities we would take any of the first 5 at least. Then it depends a great deal on what side of bed trannie and Messi get out of. I am in Seville and watched our game in a bar with Juve on the other screen. You could tell from early doors they were going to do what they did. From what I saw a very fast, physical and direct game. Trannie's ability in the air would cause us problems.

We can win or lose to any of sides in the draw. Want to avoid Juventus, Dippers and Barca if possible.

Ideal draw
City v Porto
Barca v Liverpool
Juventus v Utd
Spurs v Ajax

If we're being honest we're due a shite draw.

Semifinals also to be drawn so what if the two sets of quarters (of 4 English teams) then would play semi against each other ... that’d basically mean one English team to be in the final this year ... lots of possible combinations ...

UEFA’s issue isn’t about security reason that’s why both can’t be at home in the same week (even if one plays tue and one wed) it’s the away fans and more importantly their own uefa delegates and vips and sponsors and corporate will have difficulty finding hotels and all that’s the main reason same city teams or close vicinity teams are always kept apart ...

With that they moving the game might actually end up favouring them if we both draw home first, it’s them who get to change their ties around and not us ... should be that whoever is higher ranked (is us) so we should be given an option to if we’d like to play home first or second if both have drawn same home/away combos.
Thought the same immediately. The higher ranked team out of the four should be given the choice to be fair.

Those not fancying Ajax, they're not even top of the Eredivisie, and were recently beaten 6-2 by Feyenoord, so on their day they are good, but we really shouldn't be fearing them, it would likely be high scoring though.
In the 1-1 draw v Bayern in the group stage Ajax conceded 16 shots, in the 3-3 reverse fixture they conceded 14.

Against Madrid Ajax conceded 13 shots at home and 20 in the game they won 1-4 away.

I think they’re the one team left we’d have a field day against if we had our shooting boots on.

Fairly certain it is higher ranked team that does chose, sure it was when real and athletico were drawn on same night either last season or the one before.

Monaco were bonkers attack attack attack also, and that didn't turn out well.
