Wait, that wasn't the actual draw?! Gutted.

I saw an article commenting that Dippers and Rags think we have had it easy in cups this season. Getting Burton rather than Chelsea in the League Cup semi finals. Getting Swansea in the QFs. Getting Schalke in the last 16.

Clearly forgetting we still beat Chelsea to win the league cup. And we got a favourable CL draw as we actually won our group. A group made easier because we were in Pot 1 as league winners! I have a good feeling we will get a decent draw for the CL.
 
I don’t want United . They are so lucky that I think they would fluke a penalty in the last minute and beat us . Over2 gamesmanship his season we battered Liverpool and were unlucky not to walk away with 6 points . Tbh any game now is going to be difficult ..

I’d take that all day, I think 3 English sides makes in the draw makes it easier for us. Liverpool have gone more solid this year defensively but they pay off for that is they have lost the cability to have a frantic half hour to knock a side over which they did to us successfully in two games last year.
 
Never mind we can beat anyone, with the april run in we want less taximg games, so all the "let's get the rags or scousers" calls are daft to me, yes we can beat them, bit they will be draining games.

At least if we get Liverpool it would mean that they also play draining games in April (and we have the stronger squad). But it would be much better if they play Utd.
 
My hunch is the prem teams will draw each other in the quarters as a ‘marketing tool’ and in order to guarantee 2 of us get eliminated. I don’t feel they’d want English teams to dominate the semis.

We have had good draws this season, but that follows a spell of awful draws, particularly in domestic cup competitions. Wasn't it something like 10 consecutive away draws against Premier League sides? We were due some good fortune.

I wouldn’t mind anyone in the quarters on a level playing field.

However, as it’s not going to be a level playing field, I’d prefer Porto or Spurs.

Anyone else is a istree uefa supported club, and unless we played impeccably and several levels above the istree clubs, then we’d be pushed into a contrived loss.
