Agreed, it's friggin bent, fuck the Champs League
Yeh I agree. They have clearly rigged the draw to eliminate Real Madrid. UEFA cannot handle that Madrid keep winning this trophy so they have given them the team with the best record against them in recent times. Look Madrid beat Bayern 4-0 less than a year ago in Munich. They beat Barcelona 3-1 this season. Those boys at Atletico keep getting the best of them. Played 6 times already this season and Madrid have not beaten them once; last result they lost 4-0. Damn UEFA rigging the draw against Real Madrid.
Eh? Keep winning the trophy? Real have won it 4 times in 17 years. Before last season, you had to go back to 2002 for the last time they won the competition. Not a shabby record by any stretch of the imagination (I'd love to see us win it once!), but it's hardly keeping on winning it. Barca won it 3 times in 6 years, Liverpool 4 times in 8 years, Bayern and Ajax both won it 3 years on the bounce, Madrid themselves won it 5 years running back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Looking at those achievements, Real's more recent European record doesn't appear all that great.
I know the whole thing was tongue in cheek making the point that Madrid had got arguably their worst possible draw when people were claiming it was rigged in favour of the big teams.

4 times in 17 years is an unbelievable record. Great teams like Juventus, Inter, United, Arsenal etc have not even won 4 CL titles in their entire history.

As for the Madrid team that won 5 in a row, that's exactly why they became the kings of football. That was the first and only real collection of Galactico's until Milan under Berlusconi.

The CL is also a much harder to win than the old European cup, because the champions of a country are not always the best team in the country that year. A lot can change in a season. United would have represented England last season and they came 7th that year. Two of the best and most successful teams in history would not even have been in the old European cup: Bayern 2013 and Barca 2009. Quite often the UEFA cup (Europa League) was actually harder to win and had better teams. Many teams won back to back European cups as you said like Madrid, Benfica, Ajax, Bayern, Liverpoo, Forrest and Milan.

To put things in perspective before it was the Champions League it was defended 13/36 times. After the new CL format (group stage somewhere) it was defended 0/21.

Then since they made it harder by adding second placed teams nobody has won it more than Madrid's 4 times, including 3/5. So though I was joking about Madrid are still the best CL team.

Like the PSG-Barca one.

Will be able to check how much further PSG are from us. Will they go out with two losses now against Barca or they can make it actually hard for them unlike us. Will Barca suffer more against them or they even sent home by PSG?

Atletico-Real , last years final, huge city rivals, there will be blood there, yellows, reds, etc.

While other two seem less interesting, Bayern will rip apart Porto, and Juventus with Tevez are actually could be the darkhorse...

barca are not just messi but that lad can hurt you on his own but I also seen a lot of crap from them in midfield and the back 4 the thing you have to do is keep a clean sheet at home in the 1st leg

city are about 5 years from beating the big boys in a champions league final but next season we have to learn to win the group then learn how to get to the QF/SF
its not just about the team playing good football its all the other dirty tricks we need to learn like killing the game going down easy rolling about time wasting that's what wins games in the champions league
you've hit the nail on the head ancoats.

Sorry; didn't spot the humourous intent in your post. Stick a bloody smiley/winkey thing on the end next time! And you forgot to mention City in there!

Bayern
Barcelona
Athletico
Juventus

I reckon that'll be the semi final. Bayern and Barca are the best two teams left, that would be a great final especially with the whole Guardiola aspect to it.

Yeh should have made it more clear. I didn't actually forget to mention City, but did not think it was fair to mention them, because they have not had as many shots at the CL as the other clubs. Though winning the CL I guess includes getting in it (which is much, much easier these days) so yes you should add City and Chelsea amongst many others in that list.
