CL Quarter Final Draw - Liverpool A Apr 4th - H Apr 10th

Scum of the earth. It's a game of football for fucks sake, it's not a war. Time the authorities did something about these animals.

I'm sure most Liverpool fans will be fine but you can't legislate for random idiots. This "coach greeting" thing in the eyes of some fans appears to have escalated into something else - originally I think they were just doing it for their own team coach during the 2013-14 title run-in but now, for some of their lot, it's more about giving it out to the opposition coach and that flyer doing the rounds (not the comment you quoted but the red flyer) only serves to inflame the situation and to that end I'm surprised Merseyside police still allow it. Against that backdrop, somewhat incredibly I've received an invitation - a friendly invitation at that - to this off someone who's a decent bloke but probably doesn't know of the existence of that flyer!

Hopefully city can arrange some actual security by genuine professionals in close protection work not just glorified pub doormen who’ve been on a 200 quid course. The scenes at Wigan were shocking

I watched the last so-called coach greetiing in 2014. It was nothing like the ones we have outside the Etihad where there are kids and families. All the decent Liverpool fans with tickets, including families, went into the ground as normal and kept away from Anfield Road. The coach greeting was a lot of hooligans with flares etc. Most of them looked pissed to me. The local pubs were packed with Liverpool fans but most were just watching the game on TV. Like United, Liverpool have got a significant thug element but most of them have been priced out these days. I'll be drinking in town..but not on Lime Street!

To be honest, I like flares and pyro and it looked great when the Feyenoord fans did it at their place earlier in the season, but in the wrong hands it can be dangerous as fuck. Someone put a vid up the other day of the welcome for the Liverpool v Villarreal game and some stupid twat lobbed a firework that landed in the middle of a load of their own fans.

I don't really get why everyone is getting all precious about Liverpool's fans. You're letting their propaganda machine build the atmosphere up already. The biggest chance of any interaction between City and Liverpool fans will be Tourists asking you for directions to Anfield. They have a huge fanbase, and with that comes a huge amount of keyboard warriors.

To any Liverpool fans who want to sit in the home end at the Etihad, good luck to them. They'll end up being dealt with the same way those Celtic/Monchengladbach/CSKA/Everton etc etc etc fans have been dealt with in the past when they came in the home end.

I was a Cityzen member last year, but not this year, do you guys (currently trying to buy a ticket) believe that there would be any left after the Cityzens matchday allocation (on Wednesday) since I am desperately seeking for tickets :(

No chance mate they will all go easily can’t see them going on general sale.

I reckon they'll still be tickets available after the first leg and selling out will be dependant on that result

Don't be surprised that the home areas will be full of Liverpool supporters
Think you’re a million miles off.

(Polite way of saying I think you’re talking shite)

:-)

I agree, think this sells out fairly quickly. There's bound to be a fair few scousers knocking about in home areas though. I think it has the potential to be kicking off all over the ground tbh.
